I hope Hull take their time in announcing this. Partly because it will really annoy grudge, and partly because it will show that we wont have the news and promotions coming out the club dictated by that weasel. In a funny way I can see Hudge's point. When I read the article about Paea leaving, I thought his agent was pretty derogatory towards Rovers, and I can understand why he was annoyed that the agent put the reason Mickey was leaving in the public domain, he could have just sid that he wanted to move on. But for him to come out like he did yesterday is just as bad. If i'm leaving my employer, its none of their business where i'm going to. Hes a very bitter little man.

Nice of Sandercock to chip in this morning with a comment saying they weren't prepared to pay 'ridiculous money' for Paea,I'm quite enjoying this more than the potential announcement. Let's hope we bide our time a bit and see if we can get a full set of coach,captain,chairman and CEO.

There iss just so much bitterness over the East side it's untrue, really are becoming bit of an embarassment to the sport and the City.

After listening to talksport from last night as i missed it. There seems to be alot of hate on this subject on both Paea and FC..

The blame should be with Paea's Agent. End of day we don't need to announce it straight away, even though it would be good to do so. But can't a player ask for his announcement to be scheduled for end of season so he can concentrate with his rugby with the current club??

Reasons being because now Hudgell has announced it, Paea could get alot of stick throughout the season.

And we'll get more out of Paea than they got out of C**ke .

My take on it is this, assuming he has actually signed for us.

We have a brilliant good news story, and wanted to release it in the run up to the QF (timely boost style). Teed this up with the 2 weeks to make a decision story (bit silly, but every club, including Rovers, does this when they have news they want to control). MP's agent then makes a statement saying MP will go to a bigger club (which would be true if he came to Hull, not more successful, but bigger, that's indisputable), and that uncertainty at Rovers was a factor. This is also quite conceivably true. Hudgell has put out many doom stories himself about the game's foundations of sand, not going round again in 2013, not going round again in 2014, talking of 5 investors which don't seem to have appeared etc. So in other words, it could have been a factor. Of course, all this is just commentary, for independent and factual information on the certainty or otherwise of Rovers finances you could just just download a credit report and overlay with evidence of further investment.

Hudgell didn't like the situation or the comments about Rovers, so spoilt our PR party. In doing so he more or less accused the player of disrespect and told him to front up. A conversation perhaps better played out in his office than an unseemly rant on the back page of the local rag. Dignified.

You can understand any player making the switch across the river and it been announced mid season is a little awkward at best of times for fear of reprisal off fans etc, what i cant understand is if Paea had told Hudge privately he has signed for Hull why didn't they agree on something which would have benefiited both parties on announcement etc?

I would imagine that was probably the case until Paea`s agent said what he said in the HDM, Hudgell being Hudgell then shot from the hip and he can`t help but have a go as he has that huge Hull FC chip on his shoulder, unfortunately the thing he has appeared to have done is tarnish Paea himself, he has been execellent for KR in the last 2 years and the least he deserved was to announce which club he was signing for when he was ready to, Hudgell has now put him in a position where the fans may turn on him and given his performances for KR he definitely does not deserve that.

Agree with all the last 3 posts. Hudge really does speak before thinking sometimes.

Wouldn’t any delay in official announcement, be due to a visa application to play for another UK club?

Also, when would he be able to apply?

Instead of a chip on the shoulder, hudgell would be best served with a chip through the centre of his face, created by an axe.

And Rovers. Hudge has sadly become a liability to them.
