The club don't get charged interest on money going into their bank account. Nor do I expect to be charged interest for paying for something in instalments that I don't receive until AFTER the final payment has been made.

It the same with car insurance the RG, if you pay up front (for something that covers the whole future year) then you pay interest even though you could argue that you are getting the coverage monthly.

The club want the money earlier this year, probably because they have transfer/release payments to make, if the DD scheme was exactly the same price as paying up front, most people would do it and they would end up not getting it all till December.

I'm not an expert but perhaps they can't call it interest because of credit licencing regulations or something like that.

It's not the same as car insurance. When you insure your car, you are given a price to insure it for the year. If you choose to pay over 12 months, the insurance company loans you the cost of the annual premium and charges you interest on that loan. Cover starts immediately, not after the full payment has been received.

In the case of the season passes, the club aren't making any such loan. You receive your pass when, and only when, full payment has been made. I do not expect to be charged interest on such a transaction.

But you are buying at a discounted rate that would not be available at the time of paying the pass off. So it is exactly the same..

Its an option, you have other options. You either do it or you don't.....simples.

There has always been an admin charge for paying by DD. This year the club make the payments easier and still people moan

they don't get charged interest but do miss out on interest due to providing you with an instalment facillity.

Would you rather the didn't offer you the instalment facility?

I'm amazed that people are moaning about being charged 50p per week per season pass to pass in 5 instalments.

Has everyone got their brochures through the post now? I am hearing of several who have not got them yet?

I am impressed the way they have sent it to everyone they have an address for, even if you have bought one ticket in a season, and the pre paid envelope is a nice touch too

I got my youngest lads and my brothers, but not mine or my eldest lads. (Strangely mine and the eldests are the ones we have had the longest.)

I shall defnitely be getting a pass again next year.

I'm happy with the recruitment, the change back to Friday nights and the modest price increase.

A return to the voucher exchange scheme would have been nice but you can't have everything.

I also think its right that someone who pays for their pass by instalments over several months should pay more than someone who pays in full up front.

Sounds a daft question but if I posted the form for Dd tomorrow would that secure me a pass. Also would the money come out on 30th september?

Think it should be £10 for a DD transaction whether that covers 1 or 3 passes. But assuming 13 home games, when you break it down it equates to an extra 77p per game.

So if you were East stand unreserved with a pass bought on DD it works out at £16.92 per game v on the gate which is likely to be at least £23, so you could miss 4 games and still be ahead. Not to mention Club Hull & Challenge 10k.

Apart from that you'll need your pass to ensure you get tickets for the CC Final & GF

With regards to the Hull ifan pass, will that qualify me for me to be put in the draw? Also will it go towards the number of passes Hull claim they sell?

Living in Oldham and with 12 hour shifts (in Burnley) means I can't get to most home games. This ifan pass will be perfect for me.

Does anybody know the terms and conditions of being a student? Are PhD students included in this?

My understanding is as long you are a full time student and have a letter from your institution you are counted as a student
