Crabtree would be a great signing as would Patrick (I'm a huge fan of his), but I can't see neither signing for us.

TBH I just dont get all the fuss with Crabtree. Ok he's a big fella but for me he just doesn't use his size, another version of Paul McNicolas / Wayne McDonald. Can't say I've ever really seen Crabtree rip it up, certainly think Watts has more about him than Crabtree. We need a player like Moa who runs it in hard and fast and makes sure the opponents know when they've tackled or been tackled by him.

TBH a fit O'Meley wouldnt be a bad option when looking at available alternatives, although Paul Johnson has always looked pretty good when I've seen him.

Not been on much recently but people seem to be talking more about us signing Brent Kite like its an almost certainty.

Have I missed something, has there been a strong rumour/press release that we are in for him.

I would be quite happy with him coming however I thought we would struggle to attract this sort of player due to the exchange rate issues?

If we can do better than Crabtree and O'Meley our recruitment will be superb, these are 2 top players on their day.

I can't see the point in signing Johnson when we have Pitts.

And when did either last have "their day" and in Crabtree's case, how many "days" does he have a season, given he'd come at a substantial fee (I recall him signing a lengthy deal, but I may be wrong)

And so did Patrick but people still think he'll be signing.

There's still not many who are better around.

As good as Taylor will be he's till not up to their levels, yet.

Btw Crabtree is Hudds second highest try scorer (10). In fact his stats are pretty good overall.

weird how we all see different things in different players, Crabtrees statistics are cracking and for a front rower he seems to cross the line a lot too... he would be a cracking signing IMO
