being realistic, we cannot afford a top drawer NRL player in any position, we do not have cap (or, as it stands) quota space.

Bridge is the realisitic option, and I would take some convincing he was worth having, he isn't a game changer.

Decent solid centre, all the same. He's at least as good as Yeaman.

Don't get me wrong, Bridge is a solid player as you say, but if we spend another "significant six figure sum" in transfer fees then we may as well have paid £300k for the 6 we desperately need.

I suspect though I can not state for certain, that AP will be as strict on the salary cap as Warrington. If he is told by Bomber and Gentle who they want then I am sure AP will do all he can to bring them in and at all costs. The cash will be recouped through us the fans.

Quota space is something he can't fiddle with but I am sure we will be able to wheel and deal.

with the overseas spot going on a outside back what realistic english players could we get for the backrow, ideally the likes of patrick, watts, whitehead would be good signings yougn english players but with these players all contracted im sure it would take big transfer offers.
i highly highly doubt the likes of jennings, lyon ect are going to come over these are top players that can earn huge more money by playing in the nrl but you never know lol.

If I recall correctly, Mcrae said that there will be 2 possibly 3 signings with Lynch.

I wonder if the 2nd signing could be a marquee signing, which imo would bring the end of our transfer activity.
