His name only gets mentioned when we lose.

We didn't have the ball for the first 15 mins and they scored two tries off kicks which hit the padding round the posts and are very hard to defend against. For me it was inevitable that as soon as we got some good posession we would go on to score.

I was expecting their chins to drop, but heigh ho! Quite splendid!

Most pleasing aspect was we didn't panic when we went behind early on. just got on with it. Forwards did really well today, particularly tickle and ogre.

wakey are complete gash though. I thought quins were bad the other week but wakey were worse

Thought the first 10 mins they looked like world beaters compared to Quins.
But as you say, best thing about today was going 12 down so early on and not panicking.

I've got to give Phelps a big hand, as we looked very secure with him sweeping up at the back and bringing the ball out well.

Why do I find this disconcerting?

Have to admit after they went 12-0 up I was thinking here we go again. Credit to the lads for not panicking and getting back into the game. Now we need to take the confidence we have hopefully gained from 3 wins against SL opposition and take it the month that will make or break our season.

As I've mentioned before we've lost games we should have won.

We could win something this season or at least get very close imo.

We may reach the cup semi but can't see us beating hudds, wigan/wire or saints when it really matters.

so long as we're in the draw we could win the CC, we seem to have a bit more pride and professionalism in recent games, I'm one of the first to bag Agar, so I should be one of the first to say he deserves credit for our current (albeit short) run of form. Turning us around at h/t with what happened to Yeamo cannot of been easy for anyone concerned with FC.

having watched the highlights there were some worrying lapses in concentration in the second half, but I guess you do "swicth off" when the opposing side really aren't in the game.

I think by mid way the heat had about burned everyone out , including the fans LOL, wakey have a few creative guys that can do a bit but lack any depth im afraid dont they

they look, to me, like a group of players that know they'll be plying their trade elsewhere next season, you'd have thought they would be doing a bit of "shop window" type efforts but it seems not.

Yeah i agree, there is definate "cant be assed " in much of their body language....
very difficult position for proud players isnt it....
however i agree they should be uping their game to shop window that being the case...

they are poor though ... cant see where their next win will come from

In all honesty I can't see Widnes under Betts being much better for the next three years.

Me neither, doubt Betts will last more than one season max.
