As it happens I wouldn't criticise Agar after today but at the same time I'm not going to praise him, just because the players put in a good performance, if they are still playing in a way i don't agree with.

Top teams get the job done sadly we are not a top team....yes effort was there all to see and they gave there all and that in a way worries me that we played Wigan and had the game won and then we lost it. I remember Morrison gettting sent off for the bulls against us at the KC and soon as he had gone we went to shambles.

They play well against Wigan knowing that everyone expects them to get hammered and they are winning then wigan lose a man and its like oh my god we can win and then splat the players panic and give away silly penalties and give the game away.

Same in the cup last year and the year before and then KR in the play offs the team are going to get a reputation of being Chokers.

To be fair i dont think anybody thinks he does not care. I have always got the impression he cares a great deal but just isn't up to putting it right.

I'm not talking about blaming Agar because the players didn't execute the plan correctly or praising Agar because the players execute his plan really well. I'm talking about blaming Agar because you dont agree with his plan in the first place.

For instance if I dont agree with his tactics/plan then just because the players do it well on this occasion I'm not about to suddenly start praising the plan am I?

We have improved since the Rovers/Leeds matches. We have lost two tight matches away from home against sides expected to be in the top four and inbetween won well at home.

Defensively we look a million times better.

If we won 10 on the bounce and won the CC then clearly my opinion would be wrong and his plan/tactics would be effective. As it stands though a decent losing performance here and there is not cause for praise IMO.

I'll praise players when they play well and criticise when they play poorly, regardless of the result of the match. If Agar changed the way we play and the team played really well on a consistant basis I'd praise him as well.

Because we lost.
Because we threw away a lead against 12 men.
Because we are one win from 5.
Because if it wasn't for teams going into administration we'd be joint bottom of the table.
Because after three years, Agar's win percentage is below 50%.
Because we are making the same mistakes that we've always made under Agar.
Because the last time we beat one of the top 5 teams was 9 months ago.

If ignoring all those facts and praising defeat constitutes 'growing a pair', then I'm glad I don't have your life.

ok what was your opinion on the teams effort today?.I thought the effort was great and we where a bit tad unlucky.Yes we lost the game against the champs in their own back yard but i thought that was a massive improvement and imo we are heading in the right direction,As long as that continues and we give 100% everytime then i will praise the team and the coach,And by the way i expected us to lose against a very good wigan team but ended up more pished off because we never won the game because of certain individuals errors near the end of the game.
