Very harsh on Dowes, he's a solid player.

It's hard to disagree with him, he's poor in attack and average in defence. He may do a lot of work but I noticed while watching some games back last year he'd often be the one who failed to make the tackle for the oppositions try. e.g. Chase in the last friendly. Cue him to have a big game, I'll always back him as an FC player but no one else came in for him AFAIK and that says everything.

So using Westerman as the utility player?

He should be at 13 giving us a extra pivot not playing Fitz there...SAFETY 1ST agin by Agar.

Exactly. I can't understand where all this support for Washbrook has come from. Quite happy with the team, it's more or less what we've been expecting. TBF no matter who Agar picked people on here would be having a go.

How many times you seen Westerman play hooker then ? He should be starting at 13 or at least in the back row, not interchanging, what's the point in paying a big fee for someone and only playing them in stints.

I havn't. And it's not that I want Washbrook to play hooker, it's more that I don't want Westerman to play there, Westerman is too good of a player to not start.

Webster said on the preview that ATM they see Westerman as a second-rower rather than Loose Man. Not the finished article yet with plenty to learn but full of talent. He won't be playing 13 this season, injuries aside.

And that is why Webster and Agar need to be binned, Westerman is a quality RL player, Fitz is too slow on his distribution.

Anyway, we'll see what happens in the next 120 minutes.
