The way debate works is that the person making the claim has to provide the evidence. You claim that Tansey was a known troublemaker before we signed him. You further claim that Leeds shipped him to Aus partly because of this. Your entire argument for Agar being somehow at fault rests on these two claims, for which you haven't provided a single shred of evidence.

If you want to pretend that your post isn't a desperate attempt to blame Agar for something that was entirely the fault of Tansey then you go right ahead. Don't think you'll fool many people though.

If a manager recruits someone to fulfill a role and it turns out that they aren't up to it then the boss has to take some of the responsibility for getting that decision wrong, especially if it leads to a weakening of the workforce that can't be instantly corrected. If you think that's 'bizarre' or 'plain daft' then good for you.

It was one thing when Agar was blaming the poor results in 2009 on the 'bad apples' at the club that weren't his signings. The 'bad apple' in this case is a player that Agar identified and brought to the club, now while he has done the right thing in getting rid of him, I don't think it will wash for him to then use Tansey's departure as an excuse later in the season as it was a problem that was partly of his own making.

He played at centre for part of last year, trust me I was there! Would be a good signing for any team and will be in superleague next year whether Wakey are or not.

I didn't say it was Agar's fault I said he had to take some of the responsibility (it's clearly Tansey's fault far more than anyone elses).

Most signings are a gamble in one form or another and Agar took one when signing Tansey because of his reputation, it was probably a fair enough gamble to take but as it's turned out it hasn't paid off and he was quite rightly sacked.

All I've said is I sincerely hope that if and when results are going badly, Agar doesn't bring Tansey's departure up as an excuse as if it were something entirely out of his hands.

If my boss employed me and I couldn't do my job, as in perform the day to day tasks required of me, then yes, if all information was truthly provided by the delegate and references, then your indeed right. My boss isn't however resposible, for example, if I go out, get my self arrested and thrown into prision.

Agar has followed the disaplinary process, same as you or me would have a disaplinary process in our jobs, and in conclusion to that has taken the decision to get rid of the offending player - a decision which is spot on.
