Agar has a clause with a 10 year extension in it, if we have a set of 6 with less than 5 drives but has also asked the rfl to increase the tackle count to 7 so he can implement his new game plan of 6 drives and a kick

It's all right saying give him time, but this is now his third season, and yes personnel have changed, but the tactics , innovation etc that you expect to see from a coach has really not been evident in all the time he has been coach, that's the issue I have with Agar as coach.

the main thing is that the majority of fans will outlast Agar and Rule, whatever the truth of this story is.

Some pretty big names and an international coach recruitment panel have either said or shown by their actions that they see something in Agar as a coach. Now I fully agree it was pretty hard to see anything at Crusaders or Salford and mistakes have and still are being made. But he has had backing from some impressive sources.

As for the players it's time they consistently backed their coach where it really matters - on the field in the level of their performances.

He's had 8 games as coach this season, we've lost 3 games, we are probably only 2 points worse off than we expected (didn't expect to beat Saints, or Wigan, but lost to Crusaders and Salford so 2 points worse off) and the league is levelling off. Judge this season at the end of it.

Gotcha

I'm puzzel as to what their do see in him .

He is still young and inexperienced and is learning all the time, but he certainly seems to have the respect of his players if nothing else. If the players do like him as much as they seem to then him signing an extension may give the squad a big boost ahead of a defining time in our season.

I highly doubt Matt King for example thought Paul Cullen was a world class coach that would enhance his skills as an RL player...more likely the massive pay cheque got him here.

England are looking to nohopers like Agar and McManara because there are simply no other English options. Kear doesn't want the job, Noble has had it before etc I don't find it a ringing endorsement of his talents.

First of all we've only played 8 and lost 3. Secondly, I'd have said we are exactly where I expected us to be, only we havn't won the games I thought we would. I expected us to lose to Saints and Hudds and beat Salford and Crusaders.

Amen to the judge it at the end of the season point though.
