Yeah ive been watching it on there but Sky sports have got the proper rights now, just wondering when it starts

I read somewhere that Sky have the rights to State of Origin, Australia v NZ tests, and the Grand Final. It didn't mention regular season games.

What you read is right.

I think channel 433 have the league rights because they showed 3 live games this week.

but surely (unless I've missed something) playing with one and a quarter salary caps worth of players? Still a bit of a farce if thats the case.

Billy Slater is the best fullback in League by a mile and Cam Smith is the rock that holds the team together.

The day this team gets broken up will be a dark day for Rugby League.

As Phil Gould said on the Footy Show putting a side like Melbourne together costs a lot of money, the salary cap in Australia is way too low. Slater, Smith, Hoofman, Inglis, Cronk were all spotted as youngsters and brought through the system - the cap has to start taking this into consideration.

to be fair they've got 3 out of 4 of the wing threequarters on debut (inc young english lad garreth widdop at centre)

and some players are rested and out injured so by look of things the cap should be right for [uthis game[/u at least

Not heard anything mentioned as yet. Setanta and ESPN were around £10 a month but they both had football coverage too.

I know someone who rang Sky about this and they said that there will be no extra charges for this channel. Hopefully this is true and when they said it will be free for 2 months, they might mean it will be going on the sports package in 2 months time.
