i dunno? ive not seen many posts reguarding fun days, or supporting the club or doing things alongside the club. or interacting fans with the club? But then again im not sure what HISA do so i wouldnt know

I am willing to come down and have a listen to the plans people want put forward.
There is no point in organising the meeting without at least a vague set of actions and targets we would like to achieve.

Probably best not to make stupid statements about it then.

This isn't HISA, it will be a totally new organisation and since we haven't even had a single meeting yet how can we have decided what the aims will be?

That's the sort of mentality that will get the club putting their walls up straight away, this proposed group isn't going to be able to change the way the club is ran, it's aim should be to bring the club and the fans closer together.

Well the first step is to ditch using the name HISA (which has already been suggested).

I'm an Arsenal fan (for my sins) and often visit the Emerites...well 6 or 7 times a year. I always go into one of the local pubs their and the supports association always have something on the go...their name is Red Action....and on plenty of occassions they have 'challenged' the club on certain issues. They are still recognised by the club and have many past players coming along on event nights etc.

So it wasn't you who said it was being set up as a witch hunt then?

And to put something into the club. They'll be far more receptive to a new group if they are raising money for youth development/sponsorship etc, than if they're there solely as a pressure group.

Exactly. If we can have a positive influence on the club in terms of raising money they are more likely to listen to our members when they have something to say, IMO of course.

Very true, I've had a few dealings with the Wakey ISA at work. They work alongside the club even though they are independant. Someone said that our club is getting a siege mentality, well if this is true all they will do is close ranks if the proposed new group go in all gung ho.

Quite. It's easy to dismiss a 'fun day' as trivial, but if it raises a grand towards something useful, then its worthwhile and generates early positive publicity that the group will need if it is to succeed.

Charity work (for the Steve Prescott fund, for example) is a must too. The more useful the group seems, the more clout it has when it comes to having a say.

Ok i think i understand. We need to establish ourselves and the relationship with the club before moving on to more, shall we say, vital points. Is that correct?

Myself and Chewie would be interested in helping with ideas and fund raising and with the Life For a Kid Foundation you could also donate some of the funds raised to the Foundation. so as well as helping the club you can be helping a kids charity

we both have plenty of experience in fund raising and could raise a hell of a lot each year

Plus we have a strong realtionship with ex players association

By no means mate, I could add more value to the organisation than most. What I will not do is become a mere rabble-rouser, the reason HISA failed is because people started to get ideas above their position, but hey, that is life.

I wish everyone involved all success, I still maintain that th current regeime isn't bothered.

No, no, no. Forget the "vital points". We are not going to change anything, all we (the group) could do is build a better relationship between the cluband the supporters.

Which is what FCVoices are already doing.

Could maybe have a launch day in west park befor a game and turn it into a fund raising day and maybe get the irregulars to play a game aswell.

Im sure weve all got some good ideas for fund raising
