How do you know it's the coach and not the players?

That's the point, none of us know. However the players have seen off two other coaches in recent years so that would suggest they do seem to be a problem.

The answer is both of them are to blame, but ignoring the players lazyness and blaming Agar for everything is unfair and not true.

gary hetherington has more of a say financially than what people think.him and kath put their initial investment in for a reason-they knew they would get it back with extra bonuses.i think you will find when the next financial figures are released,they will have taken some,not all,of that half a million for themselves.but,really,who can blame them?they put their cash in when nobody else offered,and that meant that we have a club to 'support' today.maybe we ought to 'employ' gary to replace jimmy!

They didn't put there cash in because nobody bothered, they put it it after the farce that was Gateshead collpased and it was merge with Hull FC and keep that investment or lose everything.

So even if Crocker N Luakai had come this season we would still be running about 30000 under cap which simply isn't good enough for a club our our size

Agar is just as responsible for our situation as are the players (or some of them).

That said if Agar was good enough he would 'manage' these individuals and get the best out of them, particularly when he has the backing of the board which others didn't have. I refer to P. Sharp and the incident of wanting to sack one of our players but got undermined.

Get rid of the majority of OOC players with the exception of two or three, a couple of contracted players and remove Agar, Sharp and Last as well. Only then will we have an opportunity to re-build the coaching and playing staff - which is what is needed.

Mark my words if the same coaches are here next year we will have similar problems.

Often find that promoting from within isn't always the best answer, fresh blood needed from top to bottom.

Second highlighted point - can you let me know how you will be able to tell this from the next set of financial figure which Hull release, as I am fooked if I know where you would find it on a set of abbreviated accounts. Also, come to think of it, a set of abbreviateds doesn't include Directors remuneration (Mrs H) and on the basis there is an accumulated loss and the company cannot pay dividends (to shareholders like Mr H), it would appear you are talking out of your anus

Impossible to say without seeing a detailed set of accounts. Maybe they're saving a packet on the coaching set up

Heard a whisper today that Sharp is going and a new Head coach is being brought in with Agar dropping back down to assistant

he may not have to step down, the new coach may well have the title similiar to Tony Smith 'director of rugby', then we can all interpret that how we want, though the club will appear to be backing Agar.

Nope I never said that. I said it looks like the club are backing him and that in some ways it needs a coach to be backed so that he can stand upto the players who desperately need sorting out. I don't think Agar is the right man but either way the coach whoever it is needs backing.

The problem with a new man would be the lack of knowledge he would have with regard to players and he could end up keeping some of those that need shipping out. However he could keep Agar on his staff as a source of information but I think it would be wrong to do that, Agar has been around for too long and could be part of the problem in terms of the players.
