| Not rugby but playing football tore my ACL and carried on with the game. Wasn't until about an hour after when I could not move my leg and not see my kneecap. Never the same again even after 10 years.
I would happily tear it again than rupture a ball.

| not me, or rugby, but my mate came off his bike a couple of years ago when we were 15 and broke his back in 4 places, as well as needing stitches all over his face and a fractured arm. He went over his handlebars in Hessle country park dirt jump track on a small jump (he still swears it was 4 foot high with a 10 foot drop in). He still managed to get up and walk across a field to a hotel car park where the ambulance was.
This was the first week of the summer holidays so he spent his whole summer in bed and had to cancel a family holiday. When he'd recovered he got told he'd never pass his boxing medical again due to him having had major surgery so he decided to take up mixed martial arts, still has back trouble but soldiers on and is fit as a fiddle.
his dad's ex 'special forces' so I guess it's in his blood

| Not long after I joined the army I saw a lad being beasted at the guard room, being forced to run up and down the corridor at speed. Unfortunately for him there was an open safe door in an adjoining office at the end of the corridor with the handle sticking in a forward position to the corridor.. The lad slipped and somehow the handle of the safe imbedded itself through his shin..It wasn't just the crunching of the bone that made me wince but the screams of pain
Even though the kid was a he didn't deserve that.

Managed to play most of the rest of the tourney and drive back to Hull
then had to crawl from the car to my door as leg was locked at 45 degrees

| I once got into a sword fight with a bloke who was trying to get past (called himself a knight). Chopped off both my legs, then my arms, but I could've still had him if I wanted. Called it a draw in the end....

| Dislocated my thumb in the first tackle of a game - wiggled it a bit and it went back in, played the full game (at Dockers)
Ruptured ACL at Ideal - carried on as we were out of subs
Playing for the Navy at HMS Collingwood - dislocated my kneecap went right round the back of my knee, carted off to Hospital - when they put it back in got a taxi back and went out on the lash with the Army/Navy lads - doc went loopy when I turned up at sickbay at midnight still in my kit, on crutches and three sheets to the wind!

| I once got my head dislocated in a high tackle. They had to break my neck to get it back on. In the same match my leg came off when I was kicking my 13th conversion (all from tries I scored). This was the most important match ever against the best team ever so I had to stick it back on with UHU stick so I could collect the Lance todd and Harry Sunderland trophies.

| Broke my arm playing in a semi final making a tackle in the first 5 minutes. At the time I thought I had just caught it badly in the tackle and carried on till the 70th minute when we had lost the game. Still didn't think much of it till the next day when the pain got worse and worse, ended up having it pinned and plated and was never right after that.

| Think i were playing under 14's.. My mate who had good movement with the feet side stepped this kid and as he ran one way, the kid tackled the other bud had a hand on mates nut's and ripped them.
Blood was gushing down me mates leg and was rushed to hospital. Nothing lost but had sore nuts for a while.

| During my playing career. I broke my collar bone, shoulder, wrist and dislocated me ankle.
My playing days ended when i broke my leg. When i were 13 i was run over on bransholme centre with my mate. I'd broken my leg is 4 places and dislocated and broke my ankle.
In the first half of the match i was tackled but landed on my leg and the previous break had snapped again. Called it time and now enjoy playing with me 3 year old lad

I think I was there that day. I remember that happening three times during my playing days: Once in East Hull Preston Rd. That was the worst.
Then again, against Northern Dairies, the same guy broke his other leg in his comeback game when he jumped in the tackle, knocking me out in the process.

Seen it happen once on the old playing fields off Bev rd (oak rd playing fields??) we had a game and one of our players broke his leg or more technically had a compound fracture. Waited what seemed like forever for ambulance to come but we did finish the game. That was probably the nastiest injury I have seen whilst playing thankfully that was not me

Cory69......if selected lol
my worst injuries were
1 seperated rib cartilidge off the rib when i tackled opposition prop and he had his elbow on my rib and our prop tackled him and they both fell on top of me with elbow firmly lodged on my rib. cartlidge tore off the bone and wrapped itself up like a coiled spring ( 8 weeks before i could breathe without agony).........our other prop picked me up and carried me off to the wrong side of the pitch but luckily a mate played for opposition and his wife was there and she was a nurse, she managed to gag me as my screams were upsetting the crowd lol
2 dislocated rib in cumbria when opposition player decided to pick me up and spear tackle me into floor, was a long game and even longer journey back home. teach me to elbow him in the face instead of a hand-off

Did my rib cartlidge playing rugby, defending two on one, took a hit, also stretching out trying to defend, carried on and it didnt feel to bad. Then on the night round town thought i was having a heart attack the pain creased me,
