Genuine question, why would they have jobs during the close season anyway? Surely it's all casual/seasonal work during the playing season, what else goes on at Craven park?

Would it not be sensible that if ur the 'Grudge' and having gone wailing to your supporters that the financial losses are un-acceptible, ticket sales are suspended and big bad agents unsettle players and your going to stop being a feeder club to Hull FC

that:

1. Trying to merge would be a viable option for you
2. Try to sell the club

and IF that fails

3. go into administration

What you don't do is clearly advertise your going into ADMINISTRATION.

Merging is not a viable option for enough parties, though. Long term, the fan base would possibly be roughly the combined following of the 2 clubs now, but in order to get there they'd first have to survive roughly a generation of low gates with die hard fans walking away. There's not enough money in RL for anyone to pull that off. It is too big a gamble for both clubs to simultaneously take, no matter how many times people bring it up.

Wish I'd seen part 1. let's hope the OP's info is good or he could be liable for some fairly hefty legal bills
