| I would take Noble over Agar any day. I reckon he'd love to work with our pack like ours
He did good with crusaders and made some smart signings. I would be very happy if the club sacked Agar this season. We now have the pack, the HB cover and some real talent in the back line therefore Agar has no excuse for not improving our league form
IMO we need to be better disciplined, play with better tactics and smarter interchanges. Agar is clearly not good enough for us

| Without a second thought, his track record with Bradford, Wigan, and Crusaders speaks for itself.
His knowledge of the game as a coach and as a player would see us competing again IMO.

totally agree, we need to get him in before 2012, with so many OOC players at the end of this season, we need the right man in charge to take us forward and recruit the right players.

| Quote ="Dobbo Hull"Hi guys,
Looking forward to tonights game, I was going but I'm watching it on sky now, nice and warm with a quilt wrapped round me due to bloody flu!
Anyhow, I know it's early etc, I hope Hull F.C and Richard agar can push on starting from tonight etc, although it will be a hard task against a Leeds side that will have a lot of confidence, coming back against Bradford to take the spoils.
The question is, if thing's don't go that good in the opening 5-6 games I can see agar getting the sack.
Would you want Brian Noble as our manager? He is available.
What do you think to Nobby?

| Even if we was to stuff Leeds tonight, I'd still say yes. We should have snapped him up as soon as he was available to be honest. I think better players would have agreed to sign for us under Noble, and we wouldn't have just taken anyone that was available.

| Brian Noble is up there with the best this country has produced at both club and country level, he may look like a spitting image puppet but he lives and breaths the game
However he and no one else should replace Agar after just one game of a new season , stock will be taken after easter but i am fairly confident Agar will be with the club going into next year too.... would not mind Nobby as a advisor though for a season because what he doesnt know about RL isnt worth knowing (and before he is also lost to the game)

No, he should have been replaced AGES ago! This is in no way a knee jerk reaction to 1 loss. All the players that signed under Agar would have signed for us under any other coach. If you believe the Hull Daily Mail "He sold me the club" nonsense, then you're pretty naive.
Most of the players you've listed are yet to be proven quality signings for us anyway, and even the ones that are quality, are not the positions we needed!

Totally agree mate.
Will Sharp, Turner, Lynne, Washbrook, all need replacing with quality, and then we need a new coach!
And tell me this, WHY KEEP RICHARD HORNE ON THE BOOKS, HES INJURED, PASSED IT, CAN'T PROVIDE ANYTHING, IF WE GOT RID OF HIM, WE COULD HAVE GOT A GOOD HALF BACK IN! OR A NEW CENTER NOW WE HAVE PHELPS AND OBST.

| in a word -No.
IF we are aiming to challenge Wigan,
we should be looking at someone, who can emulate the Melbourne
philisophy.
Maguire has taken Wigan to a different level, than when Noble was there,
Maybe Daniel Anderson, or Folkes??
But, I still feel Agar is bulletproof.

| I must admit to not being a big admirer, but after seeing the job he did at the Crusaders, getting a team together in such a short period of time etc, he went right up in my estimation. Might cost a fortune keeping him in chewy though!

You'll need to bring in a translator with him aswell, that'll cost!
Last time I had seen him talk, he hardly had any lips left.

Pace is important in rugby, but the way the game is expanding pace and power is the gateway to success with wingers in superleague.
Lynne and Sharp, the lightest weight wingers in the league, look at their legs and i feel for them when they get a big tackle. I mean sending Lynee and Sharp for drives on second tackle when we are pegged back, can never get my head around that one, oh and also doing a drop off inside and running back into the markers (Tickle and Fitz are the best at it) and it's down to agars clueless fecking tactics.
I played for East Hull and Yorkshire service area and would have gone to east hull open age, but I did my knee in, 22 now with kids so it's not worth it.
When you have played the game, you see things differently, and I for one cannot see past agars shocking standard of rugby league, whether it be interchange, set plays, and even defense, why don't we get back to the old Sharp defensive days, umbrella type defense/movement off the line.
Our defensive efforts where rock solid then.
I always use to say to my dad, who is a rovers supporter. "Dad, hull f.c's defense is the best in the league" and he would always reply, attack is the best form of defense, it's ok being able to defend, but what does it say about a team that has the best defense, in hulls case, attack.

| I'd take Noble over Agar every day of the year, but the guy I would go for would be Daniel Anderson, quality coach, great bringing youngsters through and available. The only question would be if he would come back to England.

| Lets be honest guys whether we like it or not even without Agar we will still be stuck with his signings !!
He should have gone ages ago and i recon nobby would get the best out of avearage players but if we want to be the best im afraid that means an Ozzie coach but even with that it will take time.
So YES bring in Nobby and Agar out
