He recovered well from his mistake and had another good game.

It was great to see the way he encouraged the team and he's appears to be a great character. I agree that he has the potential to be an excellent signing.

Said he wants to be a permanent FB, take out the cookie bomb, which hit the posts for gods sake, think he managed probably the best kicking team really well. He has good hands and a great short kicking game, which throws doubts into the opposition when he comes into the line as to what he's going to do.
Was good at Leeds and if things go well for him he could be the best player we have. And British!

His attitude stands out in that for once we've got someone with as much enthusiasm as Calderwood, who's been a lone voice in that respect this season. Get Long and O'Meley into the mix and hopefully there'll be a lot more urgency in attitude next season.

Tansey, had a good game, - but one thing stood out for me tonight.

Always thought Tansey was a pretty good player at Leeds.

Im starting to think that he is going to have a massive impact at the club. He knows when to come in to the attacking line at the perfect time and is acting as an extra play maker for us and is doing a superb job for us...

I would agree with all that . He has certainly freshened up the fullback roll already. His support play isn't bad either. I just hope Agar doesn't restrict his offensive tendencies.

Already in contention with Briscoe to challenge for the FB spot for England, and he is better with ball in hand and can kick, so IMO is ahead of briscoe.

Thought he looked really good for you tonight created a try and did very well in attack, considering it’s his first game for you he can only get better in a Hull FC shirt.

Tansey showed why Hull FC wanted him.

He also showed why Leeds & Sydney Roosters didn't.

Another good game overall. Should perhaps have done better with the bomb, but it was a tough one TBF. The best thing about that IMO was that it didn't seem to faze him and he played the rest of the game with his confidence seemingly unaffected.

He pulled of 2 or 3 one on one tackles as well which seem to have been forgotten.

It's not his first game for us.

Leeds let him go on loan to the Roosters where he was playing first team footie until it was announced we had signed him. Now bearing that in mind perhaps you could explain to us how you've come to the conclusion that neither Leeds or the Roosters wanted him? Take your time.

If you think back you might remember Briscoe had a poor game in his last Derby appearance for us at KC. Made some right clangers so that must rule him out as GB quality using your logic



Thing is. If the bomb last night hadn't hit the post it would have rolled well over the dead ball line and Tansey would have had a near perfect match.

Tansey failed to take the bomb, made a great break on the first tackle then passes after being takled, if he had got up and played the ball it was a walk in. He also conceeded the feed at the last scrum with a minute left .
he also could be the answer to City's fullback problems with his slide tackling technique .
