Agreed. At the game you tend not to see a lot of what goes on, but watching the recording this morning it was clear that his contribution was impressive. As you say he needs to have more game time and will kick on. Good role models for him in our pack.

Agreed. He is starting to look like a really good prop. I reckon being part of the Knights setup has done him a lot of good. I don't know how long Green and Watts are due to be out but there's no point rushing them back based on last night.

No one said he made masses of carries, he wasn't on the field for that long really. My concern with him has been his lack of aggression and that he hasn't run his weight. Last night he might not have gotten through lots of work but the things he did do he did with conviction. I see you have neglected to mention the 16 tackles and no misses too.

Looking at some of those stats backs up how good our props were. Carvell averaged 10.38 yards without a tackle bust, that's some serious leg drive. Paea made 14 carries for 126 metres too. Huge go forward.

I was just pointing out that the stats didnt reflect what was being said.

Looking at the stats he made 2 tackle busts and 16 tackles. It was his work in defence I noticed most.

Bowden i feel shows more defense then Go forward. Bowden has the potential to be another Sam Moa, but he needs more game time.

As for watt's i agree 6th choice prop now. Since he signed i think he's gone backwards. Lost his offload game now and imo goes down to easy.

You need a hard working prop who gets through a lot of D when you have the go forward of Carvell, Paea and Feka.

Yep every team needs a Dowes type player and that's were I see Bowden at the moment.

Does he have the engine of a Dowes though? He has had very little game time so it's hard to tell at the moment.

I think with the injuries we have in the front row at the moment, he has the opportunity to kick on and like you said the only way he will improve as a player is with plenty of game time. This is the chance he has been looking for, I hope he takes it.
