He is certainly no Swain that for sure.

How often has he been able to play the hooking role without having added pressure of leading the team around the park, and setting up try scoring opportunities? Add to that fact he has probably played around 50% of his games at FC at hooker, and you need to seriously think about your statements

Stop being silly. Berrigan is and always will be class. Nobody can ever doubt his commitment to the cause nor his acceptance to take on any position our useless coaching team ask him to perform.

Considering the shiiite hes had to play alongside i think its unfair to slag berro off, hes had to do the job of 2 blokes all the time hes been here.

He's shown fantastic commitment to play with constant niggling injuries and injections for 2 seasons, and has been forced to play out of position which has limited his effectiveness.

However, he is the senior player in the squad with a wealth of experience in SOO, internationals, GFs. I would expect him to be playing a big leadership role, rallying the team and directing things, when he stands on the fringes of any huddles that go on and just looks like he wishes he was elsewhere (don't blame him TBH). For the money he's on, I'd expect more in this respect than we seem to get.

Could we get more from a top drawer outside back and Lee/Houghton at hooker? Hypothetical question as sounds like Lee's going to Salford, but not a ridiculous one.

Long as we finish above you lot and shut you up for another season I'll be happy.

To be fair, I think Houghton's fast paced hooking style will compliment our new devastating forwards next season better anyway.

So have a few of our squad, however based on their performances over the last 2 season they would not be considered now.
I am a big admirer of Berro however I have to agree he has not earned what we pay him, if I am not mistaken he is the highest paid import in SL, he is certainly not the best import though.
Look at the likes of Chad Randall he is certainly earning his money.

He's earnt that money based on his reputation in the NRL, he is a quality player.

Some people just aren't leaders, been amongst some of the best players and best leaders in the Rugby League world he hasn't had to 'lead' a team. He hasn't played with a SH of any note apart from the 10 or so games Dykes' played and has suffered IMO.

Lee/Houghton may look better BECAUSE Berrigan played in the halves rather than Thorman/Lee.
