Will all the overseas players be here? I think some have stayed throughout and Josh Reynolds meant to be here also I think. Obviously Shaul will be missing - anyone else put with surgery/rehab etc?

Looks like Sao and Satae and their families had a break in the Canaries. Fonua went home for Christmas. Ma'u posted photos of York on Instagram so presumably he just stayed over here.

HDM say Reynolds is arriving later this week. Lets hope he packed a jumper, twenty degree drop in temperature.

Cheers - hopefully most back in for next week then. No doubt the usual dramas over frozen pitches and indoor training facilities.

It’s certainly an exciting time and pretty much a new era with BH. So far I’ve been impressed with what’s been said by him, he seems to know what he wants to do and how he wants us to play. Think the training will certainly be more focused and hopefully iron out the issues that have plagued us for too long.
Certainly looking forward to Reynolds joining that club as if he is half as good on & off the field as a lot of people have said in Aus then we can only improve. Like BH, Reynolds has impressed in his interviews and think his impact will be a huge positive on the rest of the players.

I just hope he gets protection from the refs, as I've said before I think the half-backs get more protection in Oz than they do up here. Just to say that Reynolds is a rough and tumble and running half-back.

If we go to a full lockdown presumably we'll be back to where we were in March ie not training together at all.

I wouldn't think so tbh. Professional sport seems to have a free pass now that testing is so readily available. Scotland is in a full lockdown in all but name but the football continues unaffected.

Professional sports people and coaches can still gather for the purpose of training and competitive sport so far.

Disagree with that, 9 times out 10 hb gets nailed after kicking the ball in the nrl, in sl 9 time out of 10 doesn’t get a hand laid on him, and if he does it’s usually a penalty, Reynolds will rips sl up if he stays fit and settles in the Uk ok

Also could be absent because of covid (Don't mean them having it, but cases from friends or family they may have met up with).

Will the players still be training with lockdown? I guess its classed as an Elite sport

Only Swift missing from training, he is expected to train today.

Sincerely hope so, classed as an Elite Sport, I meant.

I'm sure I also read that the SL are classed as Elite and as such under take regular testing in line with the requirements for Elite sport.
