I hope Pearson has been thinking about this for awhile and has given some thoughts to a replacement.
If we have to see out the season under Last and Purtill to get the right appointment then so be it.

I'd go for Fitzgibbon. But I'm not sure that's likely, he is being linked with a couple of NRL jobs should coaches get the bullet over there.

A more realistic option might be Danny Ward.

can't see fitz leaving the roosters - he'll be groomed to take over the main job there sometime in the future

But if we were to look down under, Jason Demetriou at Brisbane has been getting rave reviews for a couple of years and may be tempted to get a couple of seasons under his belt before taking an NRL head coaches job?

Nathan Brown for me. Proven in SL at 2 clubs. Didn't disgrace himself in his last head NRL job, but unlikely to get another one anytime soon either.

We went be appointing a world class appointment, be an NRL assistant at best.

Some of them are very good.

Nobody is expecting a Craig Bellamy or Trent Robinson. It's a case of getting a Justin Holbrook, or a Royce Simmons. I'm just hopeful we're taking the chance.
