Well, given Radford's public admiration for him (RH interview in April) and the fact he's now signed for another SL club, I'd say the safe money's on Ben Pomeroy.

Rather have BJB...or Hopoate, or even Idris...

Sounds like a deal is close, always liked him, never got the playing time he deserved at Leeds but had a decent try to game rate when he did play, still relatively young as well, compared to some of our other signings and gives us another option at full back as well as wing seen as he has played both, which is a positive.

BJB would be a better 'team' signing than Carney imo

He'd certainly be better than pomeroy but wouldn't add the quality carney would have. He's also not worth paying over teh odds for. He'll be on significantly more at salford than we would have paid carney

BJB would be a decent addition, but I'd still rather we signed a proper back up 9 and a Centre.

BJB is fed-up with the commute. Rather than being cast away he's being allowed to search for a solution. Will always score tries wherever he goes.

And from what i've seen, he'll also make mistakes wherever he goes! Although to be fair, Carney makes a hell of a lot of errors too.

I'd certainly agree with that. Lancaster & Logan certainly have the potential to be though and it would be nice if we recruited better on the other side to ease the pressure on them.

If we cant make the top 6 with this squad that's been assembled, we may as well give up. On paper we should be challenging top 4 imo

Chase now been banded about. Leigh couldn't secure him and apparently were in talks. I don't know what to think. He goes missing some games and his discipline isn't great. But he wins some games single handed. If they were concerned about squad unrest with Carney, I'm not sure signing Chase would be the best option. IMO our back up hooker will be Washbrook.

Would be a reasonable signing,but I've never been sat watching a game thinking 'Christ don't let them get the ball out wide to BJB' like I did with carney...

I'd be shocked if Pearson is even entertaining the idea of Chase.

The problem with Chase is weighing-up the pros and cons. He offers world class attack some of the time, but comes with a bad attitude and you can forget developing a HB partnership, as it's all about him.

Personally, I'm not a gambler. The question is, is Pearson?
