We are supposed to be supporters but every post ends up being a character assassination on just about every player at the club, do you honestly think they have no pride in there own performance?? And when you all slate them do you think it does any good, been a supporter means supporting your team, everyone makes mistakes let's not jump on there backs get behind them like we use too we all know it gives them a lift that's why you see better performances away from home. it's embarrising how quick we are to knock a player for a bad game, just get behind the team and the players, and for everyone slating Pearson run him out the club and they will be NO club

as paying customers, we are entitled to moan about the club. as we are entitled to praise them when occurs. people are allowed to air the frustrations and give their opinions on whatever they choose.

as for supporting the team, week in week out the fans do support the team. magic weekend we had one of the highest numbers to follow, then again against widnes a few days later, followed by the largest away support at catalan, not to mention leeds, leeds at home in the cup wakey away then wakey home. looking at the numbers and expense that all that cost the fans, id say the fans are supporting the team. don't you?

if anything its the club that is struggling to get the support, in respects to the coach and board/owner. but for obvious reason how can we be blamed for that.

I think with our current state, every paying fan has the right to moan, some on here moan far too much and will find anything to moan about, some will just moan about Yeaman in every thread even when it isn't relevant.

I just hope like on Sunday the moaning stays outside the ground and get behind the players, as they are giving 100% every week IMO.

I also think they are giving 100%. You can't fault the effort or committment.

What is letting them (and us) down is the apparent lack of basic skills, stupid errors and poor decision-making.

The team will always have my support on match days and I will always be willing and cheering them onto victory.

But during the week I reserve the right to air my views. I will always give credit where credit is due and praise players, coaches or the club as a whole when I feel they deserve it but I will also be critical if I feel they deserve it too. It's called having an opinion and this is a discussion thread after all, a place for people to share their opinions.

If people don't like to read negative comments and believe that only positive comments should be made then perhaps a message board is not the place for them. In fact they may wish to reconsider relocating from this country to somewhere more controlled... like North Korea.

How in any way did the op blame the supporters? What he did say was get behind the team because after all that is why we go to matches is it not? If you feel you cannot support the club anymore then walk away nobody forces you to go. Do not forget to close the door and turn the light off when you leave

The reaction from the fans this year is that of pure apathy. It comes not from a narrowminded over reaction to this years "predicament" but rather the last few years of rubbish on and off the field. It has become more of a chore to attend matches and IMO the club is in a downward spiral.

Good to see an attempt at a more positive thread has already degenerated into doom and gloom.

The same 20 or 30 posters will tell us how bad it is, they will then all agree with each other, and then another thread will start.

Whoever invented cut and paste should be ashamed.

This is the often stated criticism of those who support their team through thick and thin. I don't believe anyone, on this forum, or in the real world accepts mediocrity.
What they are doing is supporting their team.

Sport, of all kinds, is full of examples of of teams who have achieved great things and then plunged to depths. Some remain at the bottom, some rise back to the top.

The one thing they all have in common is a fan base that will stay through thick and thin.
It doesn't make those supporters any better, or worse, than those who come and go whenever good times are around. What it does do, is make them more loyal than those who are only there for the good times.

It's their choice, and long may they be able to make it. Just like it's your choice to have a whine and a moan.

Every paying fan has the right to an opinion.
And every paying owner has the right to ignore it.

Choose your attitude.

I think if the owner actually started engaging with the fans more, then he would buy himself a lot of goodwill. What many on here do not like his apparent blanking of those who have supported this club over many, many years and his willingness to persist with things which are obviously upsetting those same fans, ie lack of a genuine coach, academy merger etc. No doubt he'll be in touch when he wants everyone to buy a season ticket for next year.
We'll do that if he gives us a reason to believe and is more forthcoming on what his plans are for the club. We seem to be rather light on detail in that department.
For what its worth I do want him to succeed.

Don't know where the notion comes from that those who are not happy with things, and choose to voice it, are less of a supporter than those who blindly follow the club.
Maybe they are more of a supporter, as they can see the malaise infecting the club, and are not happily standing by chanting the mantra "in any kind of weather" over and over again.
I know loads of supporters who no longer go. They've had enough. They still support the club emotionally though. The club has a massive battle on to win back these supporters through the turnstiles.
The club only engage with the fanbase at season pass renewal time.

Cant argue with the logic of that but the way to success lies in bringing the owner and the fans together. The fans need to understand the problems and financial challenges faced by the owner and the owner needs to understand that if he ignores the fans or takes them for granted he will find himself with fewer of them, which will only compound his difficulties.

The club has lost 1000's of paying customers since pearson took over and even more before he did. people have voted with their feet and unless there is a big change at the club it will continue. I expect sub 8k crowds next season
