Was still queing at kick off, was very full around me in south stand. Easily 10k I would have thought.

I was surprised by the amount of missing Season Ticket holders too, there was several missing around us and the seats were filled with 'newbies' instead.

Playoff crowds are a problem across the board, I think they need to look at making the first round free on the season passes next year.

That said I do think the recession is really biting now, City got their lowest crowd since 2004 yesterday, and Rovers crowds were also down this season.

Personally I cannot understand why anyone would want to miss the play off games, It's the whole point of the season.

We have had just 14 home games prior to tonight, that some season ticket holders couldn't be bothered to turn out is poor. It's not that long ago that Hull played close to 50 games in a season (84/85) season.

Shows what a hell of a challenge getting 10k season tickets will be. I'm with the view that I just can't understand why you would miss a play off game at the business end of the season. Atmosphere didn't suffer though best this year.

Low attendances at the play offs baffle me, seems to have got this way since we top 8 format introduced. These should be the games everyone wants to go to. Guess Sunday evening and fact it's on sky tv doesn't work well for all.

Having done a 4 hour round trip to be there it was worth every minute. Just enjoying a glass of vino to celebrate! Bring on the wires!

In 2007 our playoff with Hudds got 12140, so today was 3478 down. The 2007 game was under the old 'top 6' structure, but it was still an 'elimination' game and it was still 3 games before Old Trafford. I also think it was a Saturday or Sunday teatime kickoff.

The only thing different is the state of the economy, but I don't think this is the sole reason. I think the RFL need to do some research in to why fans aren't turning out, particularly season ticket holders who have sat through all season and then have chosen not to attend the playoffs.

Economy aside, the Playoff system is now ridiculous. The first two weeks inevitably produce absolute tankings that no-one really wants to pay to see when it can be watched live on Sky.

Well for me it was simply a case of money, having just forked out £470 for new passes my priorities went on the dreaded bills for the rest of the month. Wish I was there though!

i think when ur asking fans to buy season passes this early you suffer like this also the fact it was sunday lots of peaple have spent up their weekend cash by then wigan got 7000 so its not just us maybe the current system is not pulling them in

All the crowds were poor this weekend not just ours.
Wigan got a little over 7000
Leeds/Wakefield just over 9000 (this is a local Derby and Wakey actually took a quite a good number).
Warrington/St's 10000+ (again a two teams very close to each other)

I bet we still travel to Warrington in good numbers next week. I reckon we'll take 2/3k there.

Assuming 250 from Hudds that should at least guarantee (8682-250) 8412 pass sales for next year and I know 2 pass holders who were away plus my wife who's buying one for the first time (on the promise of a few post Friday night match drinks) so that's 8415 passes nailed on

Time for a Set price for all grounds when playoffs start it's embarrassing for the game when the end of season tournament starts and no one wants to go because of the prices

250? Thought it looked more, i wasn't expecting many to come over but thought we had more than that.however many we had most of us tried to enjoy it and thought we got behind our team quite well at times.
