Very good player with a good Rugby brain. Showed a lot of pace today and manned up when needed.

When Horne and Crooks(will he be?) are fit I'd go with;

Turner can play in the back row, or sod off for me

I was raving about him well before he made his debut. His break were I think he actually out paced Broughton was brilliant just a shame Salfords best player for them today was there to stop him (Patten). His second big run was a brilliant kick return were he made a half clean break and was awarded the penalty, and his second try took some scoring. Turner was pretty average again overall and still shot out the line a few times. Really not d about him anymore, Saints are welcome to him.

Next season I would be happy with:

1. Horne (if he can stay fit)
2. Lineham
3.Yeaman
4. Crooks
5. Briscoe

I wonder if Gentle is toying with the idea of using Briscoe as first choice fullback from next season and go with Crookes and Lineham wingers along with another winger been brought in too? Long shot I know and would also mean Horne is utility or leaves/retires. Can't see it but it is an option.

Crooks isnt a winger and you could see the difference today, dont get me wrong i love Crooks as a player, would be good to see him paired with Briscoe and Yeaman with Lineham (before we chuck Arundel into the mix too)

Very strong at returning the ball. Always pokes his nose through the tackle.

Like I said, put Yeaman with Lineham and Crooks inside of Briscoe.

That's what I would like to see or Arundel over Crooks for the time been, give Crooks awhile longer to get used to playing SL week in week out.

Hopefully if Crookes does difinitely sign for us, he will be third choice behind Lineham and Briscoe.

I thought he was excellent today to say it was his first full SL match. He reminds me of when Briscoe first came on the scene - strong, quick, and with a touch of class about him. If he develops over the next season or two, we'll have a top quality winger there.

I'd give him an extension, definitely a player we want to keep

Impressively strong and confident running down that line. He didn't panic and try to hack the ball inside or fling a blind pass out.

The lad's done well so far, but it's much much too early to be even considering contract extensions

I said that on the match thread - I love to see a winger back himself on the outside. You could see he only had one thought in his head, and it very nearly came off. We scored off the next play anyway, so he more than played his part.

Looks a great prospect just shame he's a bit of a carthorse

One of those young players that can already do the job when they debut. Normally they tend to appear in Wigan/Leeds teams so nice to see one come through our ranks.

Had a very good game. His pace for the Yeaman try was great, haven't seen someone go for the outside so confidently and effectively since best was here, and he showed neat footword for his 2nd try too. The hat-trick was a very tough ask, no shame in not managing it, plenty of more experienced wingers would have struggled to do any better.

I actually think he out paced Broughton down the wing. Yes Broughton had to turn but Lineham also had the ball to carry. I was saying to the missus just how fast he is and then he proved it.

Tall, fast, good hands ... reminds me of Colin Best.

Lineham really impressed me today, been looking forward to seeing him in the first team for a while and he didnt disappoint. Full of energy, solid in defence, and pace to burn! He showed plenty of confidence to back himself down the wing, good on him. Hope he keeps hs place.
