That's what i like 2 see. fc sign a aussie aged 31 when (And if) he plays for us on a three year deal, only played 6 games last season, and did his hamstring y.day (u can't make it up can yer ) so guess phelps who is only 26 will be on his way end of the season then

He played for Warriors for the first part of the season (2010) and was available until he went to Wests.

The 6 apps you've gave him are just for Wests.

As I put on the rumour thread, I question the wisdom of signing a player for three years who turns 31 at the start of his first season with us. There are obvious concerns over his fitness as well.

However, he is a very experienced player and a specialised full back which we've not had for a while and hopefully will bring stability in that position.

So thats him and Ellis (more or less) signed.

I'd keep Horne and Dowes next year and play the waiting game with Long to see if their are better players available for next season.

Another forward to replace Fitz or keep him.

I'd say we need to sign/re sign 5 first team players

Not sure about this signing, but only on the basis of injuries. We've not had a proper fullback since Shaun Briscoe IMO so that alone will be a novelty.

On the other thread everyones slagging McKinnon about being injury prone and we should keep Phelps but look at Phelps injury record. Hardly played last season for Wigan and now this season is going the same way.

Anyway dont read anything into the three year contract. This has two years and an early pay off written all over it.

good fullback that should do very well over here in super league but got to say the 3 year deal is to much no more then 2 with him been 31 be time the season starts and his injury record is awfull, personally id rather of gone for someone else but theres no doubt when he plays he will do well

Confirmed on FC`S website that the deal for Wade is a 2 year deal with the third year an option in the clubs favour.
