Someone needs to finish him for his sake. Maybe he won't leave and the board can't afford to fire him but we have hit the end of the road.We are botom and there is NO way out. Just listened to it. Sounded very articulate and knowledgeable. I hope the Brisbane board don't hear it or we'll lose our very talented coach

I shudder to think what the players make of listening to him at half time having had the cr*p beaten out of them for the previous 40 minutes.

The one thing that rankles me with all coaches, is when they say 'our effort was good today'. Well so it bloody well should be! Putting in the 'effort' should be a given shouldn't it? If the coach came out in the media and said 'us effort wasn't there today' it'd be even more perplexing! I also thought that Rich didn't do himself any favours by saying 'we lost the same three fixtures last year but went on to do well, so if we repeat that we'll be ok'. That's not what you want to hear from your coach - we should be looking at beating Rovers, Leeds and Huddersfield if we have any ambition to be any good! There's a whole mentality around the club which accepts mediocrity far too easily and that ain't good.

was a bit dissapointed when agar mentioned that we'd lost the same three fixtures in corresponding fixtures last season,(replace kr with quins @ murrayfield) which to me shows we've made no improvement and he's admitting it himself basically, hoping to win the odd fixture we dididn't win last season, hardly filling us with confidence is he?

That was my point. Shouldn't we have been trying to win those three games instead of saying 'Oh well, we lost those fixtures last year but NEARLY made the top four'. Sums it all up for me.

No he 's just desperately looking for positives. This is the sort of statement you would normally hear from James Rule.

Agar's communication skills are appalling. You can tell that a while back someone had given him a bit of coaching, because he started doing that thing where he talks in quick bursts of half sentences, but it's just a technique to try and mask his inadequacies.

People may argue that saying 'us' instead of 'our' is a dialect thing, but he ought to realise how it makes him come across. On the pre-match interview he came out with 'we're all aware of the kicking game what Broughy possesses', anyone who talks that way is just thick in my opinion.

Couldn't give a to$$ how any of our coaches come across on radio tbh.

Yes that's right, it's totally unimportant that a head coach of a club of our size gives a decent account of himself in public.

If he had us achieving our potential he could come on air and fart down the mic for all I'd care, but when he's not producing results the way he presents himself is always going to count against him.

I don't get why people keep going on about how he speaks etc. I personally don't give a to$$ how he speaks or how he comes across on the radio. It's result with the team that matter nothing else.

Speaking clearly and articulately would do for me.

I don't care how he speaks tbh...I am interested what he says though, and I am getting frustrated that he keeps saying the same old things, he is always blaming the team and never takes any responsibility himself.

Saying the same thing 70 odd times in six minutes is a bit much isn't it?



Fair enough if some people don't think it's important, but I'm not saying he has to talk like he went to Eton. I just don't think it's controversial to say that someone in a high profile role who is underperforming, doesn't help their situation by presenting themself so badly.

Tony Smith is hardly Peter Ustinov but it doesn't stop him being a successful coach.

Making the same mistakes with the interchanges etc for 3 years is even worse though
