So is there any rumours going atm? Only 2 I can think of involve internal matters (Berro quota and Calderwood). Oh and the interest in the young half back from Featherstone.

Lots of rumours, mainly based around halfback cover, either NL level or a young aussie. A few irons in fires still for other positions.

My take is it will get done when it's right for the club, no rush.

I agree no rush for the club. We definitely need to sign a good quality prop though (not Dowes).

I'd rather we take a punt on a young English half back than an Aussie one, I don't like the thought of our club been like Rovers' in there pursuit of any loop hole to bring in an Aussie.

Was reading an NRL paper the other day and there was a piece written( can't remember name) but he was saying there's a big shortage of up and coming half backs over there, so we might have to look nearer home both now and in the future!!

Fook me they're some impressive stats. Seems a very talented lad, someone like this could be just what we need. Young I take it?, has some good experience and as you say imagine him with Long tutoring him.

We should go all out for Briggs imo, £50-100k fee, with a 4-5 year deal.

The stumbling block will be, as always, what the club value him at and what he values himself at.

SPOT ON MATE, no rush what so ever, lots of time left in the window and stuff to discuss no doubt , we will make improvements and tweak it here and there but next off season is the big one when we will have a bag of cash to chase em down with and places to fill!!

It had gone quiet on Fielden hadn't it. Think the writing was on the wall once we gave Radford what he wanted.
