Serious question, why was it not called first Knock on when Calders blew his big chance and Rovers scored on the next play ?

Didnt see much advantage on that play...

Heat of the moment... from the ref position was it a Knock on...?

On the replay, it went back. The two Rovers players made a hash of it around three yards from the line. It bounced behind the line.

Ref got it wrong. Plain and simple.

To be fair - I think we got the better bite of the decisions tonight. The head high that never was for example.

I agree,it was our night for the 50/50's in general.

that one was a mistake but imo so was the push on tickle.

Calderwood went for the advantage which would have been a try if he heldit

Bentham got carried away and gave the wrong signal ..... Cockstain was 3 yards offside at the ptb so we got the penalty we deserved.

No he didn't. He signaled head high twice. He got it wrong.

Have to say, I totally disagree. Calderwood tried, by shear reaction to get a fortuitous try, but there was no action that I would constitute an advantage.

OK he gave the wrong decision, still doesn't change the fact the person penalised was offside so it should have been a penalty either way.

You can give a penalty at pretty much every play in Rugby League.

That's not a contradiction. Players react to pick up the ball and make a break after a knock on all the time, but its still taken back for the first knock on if there is no clear advantage.

If Calders would have cleaned up and put the ball down, would you have bben happy if the ref pulled it back for a KR knock on ?

Ok, Hull KR player knocked on in the second half and Briscoe had a half chance to put it down and in fact knocked on in the process - but the ref ruled that it was a double knock on that time - should that have been Hull KR's ball as well?

If you score, its clearly advantage. But a reaction like Calderwoods were he never actually had any control of the ball, certainly should not be called as advantage.

It was quite simply the wrong call from the ref imo.

Spot on, absolutely no advantage gained by Calderwood due to the fact he didn't recover the ball.

The real debate should be why calderwood didn't just fall on the ball for a certain try instead of trying to pick the ball up and he was diving on the floor

Having said that, thought the officials had a really good game tonight and allowed us to watch a game of rugby for a change... although I'm pretty sure I saw one or two incorrect play-the-balls

Did,nt he give a 20metre re-start as well, when he knocked on ,short of line, but a 10 metre scrum to defence when Tickle knocked on???

Did our player, whiting?, think he took him in touch and just booted it instead of dropping on it?

Fox threw it back inside before he was in touch and Tom Briscoe kicked it in to touch, I don't think he had time to do anything else.
