I know its old ground but just been listening to radio humberside and Gwilliam lloydd is so biased its unreal.A hull fan text about a dobbins texter from friday night saying Hull played a saints reserve side.Gollom replied nobody did and stick to comments about your own side.100% fact because i heared it on my way home and gollom laughed saying i don't think thats from a hull fan.Also he can't bring himself to criticise his beloved dobbins all though the majority of texts from rovers fans did.He just said a win is a win yet when hull played wakefield he could'nt help but put hull down.One more thing he called Hulls friday victory controversial, in what way.

We just have to accept Gollum & most on Humberside are Dobbins, always have been biased always will be, I have no respect for them as so called commentators, their commentary is embarrassingly biased....just accept it...I will never forget the Cooke saga or indeed the Readon comments...Humberside = Joke!!

I heard that too and was waiting for an explanation, but nothing was forthcoming. I really can't understand why he's not taken to task. If I was unjust in my work, I would be disciplined. Incitement of hate I reckon

I also find it strange that when people send in a text and dont put a name to it he complains and says dont hide. Yet when his "sources" come up with info he is willing to keep them quiet too

He was also quite harsh to Tom Briscoe. The subject of the interview was nominally about him being selected for England, but he noticably focussed the questioning on him being dropped in the last series and went on about it for ages. I'm certain that if it had been Kris Welham in that position Lloyd would have approached it differently.

Mr B and I had a right laugh when we got back in the car on Friday night - the disappointment in Lloyd's voice was palpable. Just contrast with the commentary on Bradford v Rovers last season where Dobson scored a late drop goal to get just a point - his voice was literally shaking with excitement and he was shouting comments like "When people ask, you can say you were there when Dobson slotted the goal over", as if it was of cup-winnning importance. Lloyd is what he is, a Rovers fan, and pretty poor at disguising it. Craig Murdock is an FC fan and equally partisan. The issue for me is that the other people that get involved, ie Lee Richardson, Nick Pinkney and Chris Park are also all Rovers fans, which inevitably leads to completely unbalanced reporting. David Burns evidently doesn't give a monkeys about RL and leaves Lloyd to it, but he's failing as Sports Editor by doing so IMO.

Because when I listen to my local radio station, I do expect impartiality. Although I suspect I'm now listening just to see how quickly he winds me up



It's not taking long at all

We always listen on the drive home...it is all about expectations..we said on the way to the car Gollum will be on suicide watch, he was, It is comedy gold at it's best

We are the same on the way home. If we lose we listen to KCFM but if we win it is Humberside just to laugh at the pain in Gollums tone. Friday night sounded particularly painful for the wee man

We listen win or lose...either way it is comedy gold..like I say it is expectations and he certainly lives up to what we expect

I didn't realise until Friday night - thanks to a steward's match day briefing docket left lying around - that Humberside are still not fully embraced back into the FC fold.

I quote: "Radio Humberside are still banned by Hull FC from entering the tunnel and changing room areas to carry out interviews etc.They're only allowed to enter the media suite, before and after the game and upper west for purposes of reporting on the game."

So perhaps Carpet just does the bare minimum as regards to Hull as a result of the ongoing sour grapes. Can't help feeling that until Burns goes the situation will never move on. Think he burnt his bridges with Hull after Cooke and then tossed away the ashes with the Reardon disgrace. His and his teams' asinine reporting style towards Hull won't help.

Despite GML, it's KCFM for me now - unless, like others have said, I tune into Gollum and co for the giggle factor.

Personally i think Craig Murdochs commentary is excellent, obviously it helps him being an Hull fan! but even when hes commentating on KR its equally as good, and he lets GL have it on numerous occasions!

I just don't listen full stop... There are plenty of ways to follow a game nowadays and blunderside are bottom of my list !!!

One thing is certain,Nick Pinkney is a red and white and it takes him all his time to say something positive about us.Gollum is just a pompous little know all who's Rugby League knowledge is very limited,and as for the rotund and scruffy Burnsy it's even more limited.

Only Murdoch talks in a balanced way.

Why do people persist with RH



I have listened to RH since it started broadcasting on rediffusion, helpfully telling us which area was going to get a four hour electric cut next. I was a big follower of RH with RL on Sundays with Stan Hall was a must and guess what its nick name was back then ............. Radio robins nest. The head of programmes at the time Peter ???? had a bent towards one team, in fairness they where alot more balanced both on the field commentating and very carefull with off the field comments as well. Back then the two leaders of the great clubs got on well I could not imagine Roy Waudby allowing any RH sports reporter to utter anything underhand or nasty about Bill Land and vice versa. Now it appears its open season for one side to have a sly and often nasty dig at the other and by that I mean east to west. To FCs credit they have kept a dignifeid silence and they did take action against RH, RH got the RL to get FC to back of due to the BBC covering agreement. The got clever with that as well, crowing about rights of coverage etc etc.

Now one club has encouraged the open dislike of the other and RH have been involved as never before, they have not only embraced it they have revelled in reporting it. They where involved with the Cooke affair, they can deny it all they like,they where both salivating on the radio about it and gloating was painful. Their [iseptic peg[/i reporting might have been good reporting to them, they forget that they have now alienated more then half the population of Hull. Hull city and RH have another bad relationship, so its not just us and cracks have appeared in the KR/RH love affair. Signs are that a certain chairman has run his course and RH have now outlived there usefullness.

I feel for the journalists who work for RH and have and are struggling to do balanced reports against a background of bias, RH is there to report news not make it. Until the the whole top etchelon of the sports team is removed this will continue and IMHO will get a whole lot worse .

Until it does boycott RH and complain to the BBC

Ive never really listened to Blunderside whats the reardon incendent thats being mentioned and what did they do in the whole cookie fiasco.

I don't for one minute think that the reporters at RH go to games with the sole intention of putting FC down, maybe its subconscious.

I do think the continuing spat from Rule is ridiculous though, especially coming from someone who cost your club tens of thousands for a childish mistake.

Why can't you all just get along and draw a line under it?
