Just got back from the game, and i thought that Steve Ganson was very incompetent, several decisions were just baffling. It may sound like sour grapes, but it really isn't, he was awful and ruined a good game between two good sides.

Zzzzz. Beaten by a stronger team, with a decent coach, better ball handling skills, craft at half back and speed in the three quarters.

People seem to be forgetting that we failed to score a single point in the second half. Did Ganson have anything to do with this?

The two on Humberside were singing Ganson's praises till THAT decision, I don't know, how one mistake from a ref can turn a game eh!

Also had pivots in 6,7 and 13 which we didnt have.......the score flatterd them and put us up 13 v 13 and we would have won today

I agree he missed the obstruction when they scored, unable to comment on the Yeaman penalty I was at the loo. However that did not cost us the game.

I think it was mainly down to having no halfbacks on pitch. We were always going to struggle to unlock what are a good defensive unit.
I do think some people's anti-Agar sentiments are getting in the way here.

surely there must be half a dozen ganson threads that can be bumped instead of of starting another. or lets just have a "lets blame the ref whenever we lose" thread

I agree, although I'd say the 'stronger' team won, rather than better. We'd have stood every chance of winning that game at full strength. Even if Long had stayed fit we could have nicked it.

Craft and speed? We had 6 first teamers out, 7 inc Long who went off, 4 of which were backs who are speedy and craft players! Doesn't take a brain surgery, we played with plenty of players who don't often play, and in roles which are often unfamiliar. They're handling was also poor I recall. And yes, Ganson did have anything to do with it.

Well done to Hull, great effort and passion.

I hate Ganson as much as the next Hull supporter(east and west) but all that is asked for is consistency for both sides....prime example...Washbrook gets pulled for not playing the ball on the 20 Yard line...he was behind......Twice wire players tapped ball in front of 20 yard line...once with Ganson stood next to him......and not a word???????Could wire have been so disciplined as to only have given two penalties away in the entire game.....I think not!!!!

You will struggle to play and score when ur bein constantly penalised, Warrington took the lead through a try that was clear obstruction.

didnt think ganson had a good game 2day, a few really poor decisions but i think we would of still lost, sometimes you just have to say 'we were not good enough today'. maximum effort from the hull lads tho, so im not to disheartened, i would always take 1 from 2 over easter and the game we won is the one i would of chose

Looked pretty legit to me... dragging into touch, however, from where I was sat, couldn't see if the ball carrying arm had hit the ground.

It's the inconsistency, sum weeks the Yeaman drag into touch would have been ok, today it was penalised, no consistency.
