I wouldn't say I've rated Whiting, but I've never got as excited about him as some posters on here. However today he really dug us out of some holes. We looked much better with him on wing and Hall in the centre.

Agreed. There is a pre season thread somewhere which said he wouldn't get a game this season. Usual cr@p it was but anyway he should be given a new deal he has been our best centre, arguably best winger and not far off our best fullback this season. He is a cracking player and would get snapped up at most SL clubs. Sign him up for as long as possible.

The thing with Whiting is not just the good performances, it's the consistency. Rarely has a bad game. I'd like to see him signed up for as long as possible.

Hes been one of our best players, always been under rated imo. Can play in 5 or 6 different positons to a very good standard the only thing thats lets him down is his lack of pace which proved today when he incepted in 2nd half

Whiting was outstanding today , there'll be no shortage of takers if we dont get him signed up on a longer deal. The kid had backed himself with a one year deal, deserves a 3yr contract imo and not just on this game. His game as a whole is solid and at times teams need a steady influence on the side.

Mine too. Came up with some really, really important defensive plays that probably saved us the game. A quality all round footballer whose services need securing ASAP.

Only little, tiny little niggle, that I have had with him. He does seem to be laying on in the tackle a lot longer then usual. Needs to stop that, gave away at least 2 for it as I recall.
