Did Sam extend his initial 1 year contract with you guys?

Not yet. A lot of us are awaiting news with baited breath!

Spoke to him today, he really wants to stay but is waiting for the club to make him an offer, he has 2 other superleague teams with offers on the table and they want a decision by next Friday, Hull know this and will let him know by Friday if an offer will be made, I think he will leave personally, hope not cos he's a good player and a real decent guy

If he don't sign by Friday or is not made an offer by then perhaps we will have a new signing from Overseas announced this week. If not then at least one nailed on for a future announcement, thats all it hinges on now!

I asked Steve McNamara the other night and he said he was good but they could not accomodate him!

obviously its rovers, he's plays for hull fc so that will do.

Why dont we just sign him up?
We need players like him.

I would rather use him as 1 of the Quota spots then sign a back.

We have Briscoe,Hall and Yeaman for the centre spots so we dont need a centre.

We have Horne and Long in the halves with Washbrook and Tansey could back them up if 1 or both get injured there fore we dont need a scrum half/stand off.

Raynor,Calderwood,T.Briscoe,J.Briscoe,Lynne and Tuffour all good cover for the wing, there fore we do not need a winger.

Pretty much agree with that. Moa would be a decent long term addition to our pack only a top of the range overseas SO coming in would change my view that he should be signed.

I think Moa showed today at the BBQ what qualities we have been lacking at FC or a long time - A character the fans can identify with. If we lose him to sign an injury plauged Aussie utility back, I'll be gutted.
It will also be [ianother[/i PR own goal from the club.

Totally agree. We could lose a long term prospect like Moa, for the sake of keeping Cusack for one more year.

I think the clubs arrogance is such that they don't care what the fans want, & fail to see that losing Moa will alienate more of the fan base.

Goodness me thats a little bit strong. Whilst I apreciate some on here like Sam. If and I accept its a big IF the club come in with a big name signing then will you really be that upset that Sam has been told thanks but no thanks. He has not exactly set the world on fire yet. OK he has potential but have we really seen the full extent of that potential or have we just seen a player who has a bit of pride when he plays unlike the majority who have been playing around him this year.?

At times like this when we are about to cull half a squad we have to attempt to trust the ones in charge. That said I feel the biggest mistake was letting Yak have another year. Withou that I am sure your wish would be granted, but we now have to live with that.

I've just appreciated watching someone play with a bit of pride in the shirt this year. And someone who obviously wants to play for the club. Not been many of those players this year.

Well lets see who this "big name signing is" and if he actually comes. It would be typical for him to turn us down and for us to lose Sam too.

Does anyone actually have any idea who the club are chasing? I heard Richard Agar in the post match conference on Friday saying that they were trying to bring in some pace and finesse but the rumour mill has been pretty quiet.

It'd be a shame to lose big Sam (especially as he's likely to go to Rovers) and it really would have to be a big back signing to offset that loss.
