How many of you are going to Wembley this year? I'll be there as usual but wondered how many of the faithful I'll say Hi to this time. Hope it's a few of us (afterall we deserve to see a decent game once a year at least)

I'll admit I was hoping for a Saints win, (well I said a decent game) but as a Yorkie I must now support Hudds. although I must admit I hate their style of play.....lay on till Christmas, cheat at every opportunity they can get away with... so now I'll go along to see which AUSSIE coach can out-fox the other. It will be interesting just to see that with no English coaches involved.

i thought hudds was ace yesturday and rekon the will win final.

That was a fantastic passage of play and showed their willingness to vary the attack.

Also showed that they practice a few things, other than throwing and catching lighters and asking "who's round is it".

Great attacking and defence display from Huddersfield.

The kick on the first tackle leading to the try at the start of the second half was brilliantly executed.

I won't be at Wembley but I'm looking forward to watching the final on the box.

There was a time when I would go to all finals. Lads day out and plenty of beer in a friendly enviroment. Banter etc etc. But the lads have grown up we all have families and kids now. Plus at the risk of sounding bitter, I can't get excited anymore after the glory of 05. It just doesn't seem right to be sat watching as a neutral. I tried it in 06 and get p155ed off with Saints fans not celebrating. 07 was much the same then last year was ultimately disappointing for me. I am not one who was happy to just be there.

So unless one of my many contacts in London come up with a freebie then I won't be there this year Cindy.

I do hope Wire win though for their fans who I am certain will party like we did in 05. Thats what cup finals are for. I think the magic might just be coming back after the dullness of Saints little run.

A fantastic point. That would be the tactic that would get the most out of Calderwood and i even recall Rich Agar last season on KCFM stating that is one of the reason he was signed - to give us attacking kick options to the corners.

Some times those seats dont even fill for the big Football occasions and the empty spaces stick out like a sore thumb!

The thing is, we've used that play in the relatively recent past (Rich Horne as the kicker). Now we seem devoid of ideas.

Having Calderwood on the right wing should encourage that type of play shouldnt it?

I remember 2nd game of the season at Celtic Horne kicking direct from a scrum for Tickle to score. You have to wonder why they dont try it more often.

Didn't we use that at Warrington last season (or maybe season before actually) ? Kicked from a scrum just our side of the halfway and Gazm Raynor came screaming onto the ball. Or am I imaging things ??

Ah, forgot the tickle one. Horne did go through 4 or 5 games trying it to Calderwood but his execution was woeful. Maybe with Long been able to actually kick a ball we may try more next year.

I think it was 2007 and it was Yeaman scoring from a Cooke kick.

I don't mind going to a final as a neutral, have been to the last couple of CC finals and the Grand Final for the past 6 years.

The complacency of the Saints fans in the Catalan final really ed me off and I remember saying that if it means you get used to winning finals and the magical feeling and elation we experienced in 2005 disappears then I don't want to get to finals every year.

Back on topic. Six of us going. Stopping in Kings Cross Friday to Sunday. Can't wait. It will be great to see two fresh teams competing with the result very unpredictable.
