However, I would like to state that I personally thought he was Hulls man of the match last night. Grit, determination, off loads, aggression in bucket loads.

IMO i think he is putting himself in the shop window if the rumours are true and he is going.
One of his best games hes had in a while

Don't get me wrong, one swallow doesn't make a summer and over the entire season he has not produced the goods.

The thing with King is, he looks good when the rest of the team are playing well.

For me, Tansey deserves the nod for mom.

He generally always plays well against rovers.

I've said for ages.....Paul King is an offload master....He may not break through many tackles but he always looks to keep the ball alive. He has an 80% success rate too IMO. Most forwards look to plod around the pitch....THEY AREN'T supposed to be flamboyant or move like whippets.....Kingy, for me. is Mr Hull FC. It will be a sad day when the club 'offloads him'

I've heard that he has been telling people who he knows that he is leaving at the end of the season.

Funnily enough, I said similar last night. Either it's because it was the derby, or I'm starting to believe he's on his way, as that was the sort of form he normally reserves for earning a new contract.

We all have differing views......I see Kingy as an 'Old School player'.....Likes his life outside the game as well as playing it, He seems not to like the 'added politics and buisness' that some like to poison our sport with. It is a game afterall!!!

But the game has moved on now and you cant do that nowadays.....he is playing for his future...not at Hull but elsewhere.

There's a lot to like about Paul King, he's clearly an 'old-school' character, loves the club and his big hits can be great (when they come off) but if we want to improve as a team he's exactly the kind of player we don't need IMO and I hope this season is his last with us.

Sam Moa for me soon as he got cut open and needed bandaged up he came back as a rabid rampaging prop forward what kr couldnt handle !!

Moa's impact was something I haven't seen in a Hull shirt for many a year.

Cordoba did well last night, but having watched the game in TV, he made a lot of errors at key times.

True about Cordoba although on another day he would have had 2 penalties for ball stripping.

Can't agree about King being anywhere near MOTM. Cordoba and Moa were the 2 best props and off the top of my head, Raynor, Hall, Manu, Radford, Tansey, Calderwood, Burnett and Berrigan all had better games.

Agree with that, it seems to have been overlooked by a few. Had a decent game, but I don't think as good as is being suggested.

A lof of the side had a much improved performance, but starting from such a low base it's hardly a laudable achievement.

I think thats the main point here. We were coming from such a low after recent performances that our performance could hardly have been worse.

However every improvement has to start somewhere and I would rather be positive and hope this is a mini kick start with the players showing at least some passion for the shirt.
