Club president (a la Bobby Charlton role), an ambassador that knows what Hull FC is about, they instill respect in the club. it would be a move to bring the club back to it's heartbeat. The fans.

The orginal post was not about bringing him in. The reason i posted was the simple fact about the article i found. Sterlo is 34th, Andrew Johns is 31st. yet nobody can see further than their keybaord and would rather slag a poster off than enter into a debate about great Aussie sports people.

I added the bit about bringing him in to see what people thought about a club hero being invovled int he current set up. you clearly think all is well and Kath bumming the fans week in week out is ok.

Fact is the club has never ever been so far removed form it's life blood, the fans. Despite what spin master Rule says they are no marks we dont even see or hear.

Having some past greats involved int he club is a step forward.

As for Sterlos input, do you think it was nothing? the fact that in 28 games for Hull FC he became one of the 3 all time greats to pull on the jersey?

Maybe those who called 40 a day Jason Smith "God" should watch how one little long haired Aussie has become a club folklore in 28 games.

Played less than forty games. Why would a club bring an Aussie over to act as an ambassador? Still, lets not let foolish and misguided sentiment detract from the real issue that is the players are simple not good enoughy, the coach is out of his depth and the C.E is a boy doing a mans job.

Name calling aside, Sheldon is right. Why on Earth would Sterling give up his job and lifestyle is Australia to come here. I know he said playing for Hull was the highlight of his career but a management role is completely different.
