Whilst a lot on here were arguing the toss about Blunderside and our chief executive as they seem to do a lot these days, I went to Brantingham and watched a great game that The FC lads won 18-16. The dobbins went into a 10-0 lead but then the Fc lot ground their way back into it and Kingy and Sam Moa took em apart down the middle. Sam played 2/30 minute stints and actually showed some nifty ball handling whilst Kingy really got stuck in. Quote of the night goes to the wag who shouted to Ben Cockaigne when he hurt his shin, " Is that your kicking leg?"

Decent game in poor conditions, TBF Hull should have won by more with the experience they had in the team.

Moa and King played very well as they should do at that level.

Jack Briscoe looks very good, very strong like his brother, should get some first team games nect year if he carries on his progression.

Thought Hull best player was Hodgson, who ran the ball very strongly and was inmense in defence.

Also the winger Tuffor did some great runs very elusive and quick we should be making the effort to keep him if possible.

Not wanting to stir things up, but i would have thought Ben Cockayne would have been banned from all Rovers games etc whilst he was serving his Community Service?

From what i saw Sam Moa is way off playing for the 1st team, he still looks unfit and yes he scored a try but with the weight he is carrying it should be impossible to stop him from 5 yards out

Everyone else thought Cock ed should be banned from all games too, just show how full of shizzm they all really are at that club.

Moa great game work rate second to none. Looking for it every set ball in hand and every set defencively. Not fit well that's just baloorocks


Kingy spits n spats for me showed some promise but drifted in and out of the game.

Dom showed up well.

Josh showed up well but was out on his feet and needed spelling.

Hally shocking first half, some neat touches second half. Defo doesn't deserve to be back in the first team on that showing.

Good nights entertainment though, glad i went to bar just before the down pour everyone was drenched whilst i was cushty with my pint. Second half i went back out and the sun came with me happy dayz.

I never timed his spells but he seemed to be on for a good 25 mins a half and I thought he did well. Seemed to be blowing out of his arrus on a few occasions but he was not built for a four minute mile !!!!

In all honesty I think that is putting a lot of gloss on it.
More a case of King and Moa caused the defence problems with their trundling runs... your winger was your MOM. made more metres than Moa and King together.

I think he was fit enough to play at least 2 x 25 min slots (possibly longer) which is an improvement and he looked determined enough.
Just because i said at some points I saw him blowing out of his and taking a hard earned breather after a few hard runs hardly means he is completely unfit !

IMO he worked hard tonight and I was impressed with his work rate.

very impressed with tuffour on the wing, hope we sign him up if possible

hall didnt stand out to be fair even at that level, doesnt deserve to be back in first team

king, moa were good as was maloney

hodgson did ok, doesnt look big enough for second row

jack briscoe looked solid at full back, was hoping to see james greene there though

number 11 for rovers was aswell, was it scott taylor, ryan esders ?

IMO nobody on tonight's showing will be playing 1st team rugby in the near future, a complete lack of quality on show. Lots of effort and graft but little else, both teams were pretty ordinary. The biggest concern for me is the fact that our reserve team plays without half backs just like the 1st team.

Prob because you can't name any others... ermmmm what about Hall and Maloney .... Your winger played very well TBF.

i thought it quite funny when the group of rovers supporters constantly calling moa a fat this and that suddenly went quiet when he walked by them at the end.

kingy seemed to be struggling for fitness at times but to be fait put a shift in in the last quarter. moa was excellent and seems to be coming up to the required standard. was well impressed with briscoe at fullback - he has the nack of doing most things right, always a requirement for the last line of defence!

If you honestly believe he was excellent and coming up to the required standardits a good job you dont pick the team. I can honestly understand why Agar isn't playing him in the 1st team he would get murederedby the bigger more athletic players and more so by the pace and intensity of the game
