Woah there, slow down. Phil Clarke said he was the best loose forward playing on the wing. Given no other 13's are playing for their clubs on the wing he kind of wins by default.

I heard him say Whiting is the best LF not playing LF in SL. That's very different to saying he's actually the best LF in SL.

Spot on. Though I thought he said he's the best one playing winger, maybe not. But he definitely didn't say he was the best LF in SL, and to be honest, if he did he would have looked an even bigger idiot.
