just been reading up on brett finch, strongly looking at coming over to super league when he is out of contract next year, i think hull should put in for him and look at offloading someone like cusak who's contract is up in 2010, any one agree..

probably? i think either way weather it being finch or any one else they need to draft some half backs in at least, cant bank on longy being fit for all this season and next, and you cant rely on washy & horne, because there not good enough as they have proven.

I know thats why I said it would [iprobably[/i be worth it and not [idefinately [/iworth it as Fitz is worth another year. The other option would be to offload a contracted player.

If Fitz wants another year then its Cusack and I would consider Berrigan (as next year is an option) as his wages would pay for Finch and we could bring in another reasonable standard Hooker on Cusack's wage, not sure who though. If Fitz doesn't want another year then its simple.

I think it's only optional on his side - i.e. if he wants to stay then we can't get rid.

Said before he signed for the Storm last season I would sign him in a heartbeat, play him at 6 with Long at 7, now that would be the best combination in SL imo.

Finch was always a bit hit and miss for me. He only started to play consitantly well after he joined the storm part way through last season. I personally would question if those performances were down to his individual ability or the ability of the players surrounding him.

He certainly has the skills to be a good player, but I'd have to question if he could produce his form for the storm elsewhere.

Cusack and Berrigan to go for me. Finch would be more beneficial to the team than Berrigan. We would have to bring in another hooker though.

This may cause a stir amongst some, but with foreign players of this calibre becoming available, and quotas been reduced, does it make you think that perhaps handing Big Sam a two year contract was maybe a mistake?

Houghton could not take up the job that Berro does single handedly, he is still young and needs another more exp. hooker with him.

Theres not that many hookers i can think of who is available.

I would be tempted to start with Washbrook at 9 with Houghton coming on in spells.

Out of all of the hookers in SL I'd love us to sign Chad Randall. Quality and doesn't get the credit he deserves. But guessing he's obviously on quota.

If we have got the chance to sign Finch then do it. The guys class.
