7687 Why so low when it was an important cup match against a super league team ?

Season pass holders should get CC games for free and all other tickets £5. Entice people to come to the games.

Only expected around 8,000 last night although I did think there looked a lot more than 7,687. Wakey seemed to bring a good few hundred too.

Why should they?

I'm a pass holder and do not expect to get CC games for free. The club has to make money and has expenses to pay.

I think the reduced prices is just fine and I'm happy with that.

No matter what club you're at I just think the early rounds of the cup are just not too popular unless you make it to the semis or final.

2 previous home matches on the trot will stretch fianances.If it had been a sunday,we may have got more and i didnt go as had something arranged for the friday.

i thought it was a decent gate! early rounds of the cup always struggle to get the crowds in, a few pass holders tend not to bother unless the club gets to the semi finals then take up the advantage of buying a pass for first priorty when tickets go on sale

hudds v leeds only got over 11000 and they are closer to each other than hull and wakefield, also they had cheaper tickets at £8!!

Haven't been to a cup game yet this year! On a Stag Do in Leeds for Crusaders now in Cyprus for the wedding!

an excuse or a reason?

Friday night holds no interest to many, nor does the Challenge Cup to some.

I currently find the cost too much. Which I know many others do too.

As I work away a lot I don't have a season ticket, but go when I can. I completely understand why those with a season ticket may struggle to justify attending the cup games. It certainly not pocket money any more.

Explain then?.....like i said...pass holder and been to all home games so whats my excuse

Friday nights work for me as its my day off but thought cup would have been a sunday so had made plans for the friday.

Wakey sold 1000 tickets pre game, well done them.

Maybe AP will see that cheap tickets will make away fans travel.....

I thought is was a very good turn out by Wakey on Friday and hopefully the crowd at Huddersfield today will highlight the need for clubs to discount and promote cup games to attract a big crowd going forward.

Huddersfield got over 11,000 yesterday, they can't even do that for a top superleague game. I know Leeds will have taken a few, but that attendance was one hell of a surprise considering it was on tv to.

Will if we get to semis then the final all will crawl out of the woodwork claiming to be lifelong FC supporters

Wont matter, they will put it in a small stadium and give us less tickets than we have passholders.

Really? Huddersfield 05 we had 8k there, and donny 08 we outnumbered wakey fans 2/1

The novelty might have worn off on the likes of Leeds/Warrington etc but both our recent cup semis were more like home games
