In the spirit of positivity, halfway through the season do we regret releasing any of the players we released last year, or were they all the right decision?

Byrne - not played anymore AFAIK
Tony - Just signed for Whitehaven
Raynor - probably had to release on the basis of the court case
Lee - Been injured quite a bit, I think
Thackray - been poor from what I've seen
Thorman - York City Knights - say no more
G Horne - done much the same at Hudds as here IMO - adequate squad player only
Maloney - Halifax - haven't really seen him
King - pretty anonymous when selected
Cordoba - Cronulla - no idea

Seems like the right decision in all cases was to release, although possibly I think Lee/Houghton could have been developed into a decent hooking combo for when Berro goes, plus would have been interesting to see whether Lee could have been developed as a 7 under Long.

all correct for me...plus afew more this off season if certain people dont pull there fingers out!!!!!!!!

I never really rated Lupton but i know a few did on here . As for the list .... Yes , No regrets.

I don't think anyone can justifiably be disappointed with our ins and outs for this season, and IMO the proof is in what improvement we have shown.

Think he dislocated his elbow in a game 3-4 weeks ago.

Only one I'd have kept (taking playing ability as sole consideration) would be Raynor.

Agree. Would find a place for a fully fit Motu as well but wasnt to be. Hope Motu kick starts his career up in Cumbria.

As for the original question, none, although kingy played well for wakey tonight. Think we need as big a cull this year but doubt we'll get it

fitz, long, horne all another year older. dowes and radford no impact. no wingers, ineffective centres?

We're stuck with Long and Horne as our 2011 halves but have scope in the props and backline IMO. Tickle is the difficult one to replace like for like. Good work getting Manu and Whiting signed up already.

A cull would suggest a high turnover of players I dont think we need that.

Maybe 3 or 4 players to leave and naturally a couple of fresh faces to come in hardly a cull.

They do need to freshen things up a lot because we are still a long way behind saints and leeds , I know it won't happen overnight but players like radford and dowes are not going to get any better and wouldn't grace their teams . Also agree that we need some backs mostly a centre

That I'd agree with, but he has actually said that we need a big cull again. Kind of goes against his 'it's all Agar's fault' stance IMO.

Why the cull of players if it is solely down to the coaching where the problem lies then?

And i kind of think, if we kept Cooke, just how much better he could have been? no doubts when he went he was our best player.
