I'd expect it to be Yeaman as well. He's already getting plenty of stick.

There are also a lot of fans who think Yeaman can do no wrong.

My money will be on Pryce or Sneyd.

Not seen Steve Michaels yet so can't make any judgement. However looking at the squad Yeaman's place must be under great pressure. Sa looks the biz early season. Young Logan looks good with ball in hand but Doncaster ran through him several times so has much to learn defensively (and has time to do so). Yeaman will have to be on top of his game to hold down his place - that's not making him a scapegoat but if there's better then they have to play.

Good post. Yeamo has been a shoe in for years now and if Michaels can put him under pressure he may up his game. Sa looks great but I hope he can stay fit.

Logan will need help to improve his defence if he's not to go the same way as Ben Crooks.

Not so much a scapegoat but I just can't see a place for Rich Whiting this season.

My money is on No Scapegoat. If the season doesn't go well then the pitchforks will be out for Radford and not any of the players.

I actually meant from being in the Super League dream team one year to not being deemed good enough the following year due to his defensive frailties.

I know what you meant mate, just found it a bit ludicrous. Logan's only played 3 games hasn't he? Plus in the first team he managed well in defence with better players around him, Crooks was always lightweight and anyone who watched him regularly in the 19's couldn't have envisaged the type of 2013 he'd have! The 2014 version was far more in line with his academy performances, plus he thought he was Greg Inglis after his 'wonder season'.

If things bomb then it will revolve around Sneyd no? Whilst we have strengthened from last season we are still effectively pinning our hopes on the no.7 to make us click/perform/win..IF we don't, as the playmaker the blame will come down on him..AND Radford.
We need to get out the blocks fast, get some momentum and confidence, not just for the team and our future back end of the season but for the fans too.

All good points - Logan did do better in the first team with better players around him. A bit of a defensive lesson against Doncaster wont hurt him either - he looks good with the ball and has huge potential.

He's also a very vocal player and is great at communicating with those around him, all attributes that will help him in defence and those around him hopefully.

I don't think and hope Yeaman will be a big enough player to be a scapegoat.

It will one of the key players such as Houghton, westy, Sneyd or Pryce.

If he's any less than very good then it will be Pryce.

I like Danny but he'll never be as good as we'd all like him to be.
Westy will be another top performer for us this season.
Will Sneyd be able to handle the next step - up in our pressure cooker?
₩ill Pryce have the hunger we as fans require?

FWIW, it will be Radford if we are much improved and that will be fair enough IMO.

I think we'll have half blaming Sneyd, and half saying Sneyd would be going good if Pryce wasn't on the physio table. Which will all be Radford's fault.

IMO if Pryce doesn't perform Radders will put Abdull straight in. One thing you can't bag Radford for is not walking the walk when it comes to youth opportunities.
