there is plenty of hype towards next season and our new signings but not many people seem to have mentioned much about berrigan. i would think he is still going to be one of our star players but last season he was really quiet and appeared a more frustrated player (spat with thorman etc.)

i hope in 2010 we can see what he is REALLY capable of since he's no doubt got the best squad to play with since we signed him

i've always had huge expectations from Berrigan, but i think i've only seen 80% of what he can do in an inconsistent hull fc team

Maybe that's a good thing. The focus will be on other player's for a change and not squarely on the shoulders of Berrigan.

Spot on and with a monster set of forwards I expect him to wreak havoc next season.

hopefully if Berro stays fit he has no excuses for 2010 behind that mean tough pack.

I'm really looking forward to Berro playing a full year at 9 and also playing at the top of his game. No better 9 in SL if he can.

when fully fit, berrigan is as good a ruck man as there is.....surely there will be a new and improved man in shaun berrigan next season..hopefully taking us to the top

He really needs to put RL 1st next season - sure Fitz will sort that out tho!

Hopefully the new arivals with help him on and off the pitch. He needs better players around him and there is no excuse this season, he needs a big season imo.

He needs to have a verg big season or back to Aus for me. We can spend his money better elsewhere in the squad.

Is this the last year of Berrigans contract?

Yes, I think so but he has the "option" of a fourth year.

As far as I am aware, this is his last year, although there a possible fourth year if both parties want it.

IIRC this is his last year but there is an extra year option.

I think it's our best squad since 2005, and don't think we've had the quality to be capable of making achievments.

Although this year, we have a great set up, and things are certainly looking up, but im definitely not counting my chickens just yet.

That's my understanding too.

Here's hoping he can stay injury free and with the likes of Long and Fitzgibbon there to relief some of the pressure on him he should shine.

He's not been the star signing I expected but a lot of that is down to circumstances beyond his control.

I'm sure if his injuries have cleared up he will star next season with less pressure on him and better quality around for a bit of protection.

in all honesty though im a massive berro fan and il be putting a wager on him again for the man of steel, needs and think he will have a massive season in 2010.

the thing that baffles me about berro is some one isn't on his shoulder at all times often he is stood there at dummy half then see's a gap go's for it draws the deffence or half goes threw a gap turns round and no one is within 10 meters of him. when ever he's had a good game in the last two years there has been no one else to back him up and playing with a worls class scrum half can only help him
