| Whether we like it or not Rovers' name is on the trophy this year. Best to accept it and be pleased for friends/family members some of whom have never experienced winning a major trophy. Everyone complains when it's the same teams getting silverware - you can't have it all ways.

Absolutely true.
I'll be disappointed if a plane with a celebratory banner attached isn't circling over the MKM at our next home game.

| Would rather see Leigh win. And that would be the same regardless of who they are playing (except us). Would be some achievement for the newly promoted team to win silverware.
I also quite like Beaumont now. Used to think he was an idiot. Mainly based on when he'd get drunk and take to twitter. Having seen more of him this year and heard him on Sky/BBC, he comes across really well. Loves his club and loves the sport.

| Part of me wants Rovers to win, just for some of my old mates, who did actually go during their wilderness years and who are genuine RL fans. That part of me though was removed when I lost the end of my little finger to a mallet tendon injury. For the way Lilley and latterly Hudgell have tried to do us over, Leigh, by 52 points, with Tom Briscoe getting 6 this time.

Possibly, but there is also the alternative narrative, the one that says Leigh's name is 'on the cup'
The narrative that says that as the story of the season (newly promoted side upsetting the odds, successful club re-brand, positive air about them, a feeling of destiny calling) it is somehow written in the stars for Leigh to complete a remarkable twelve months by winning at Wembley?
Think it's a 50/50 call. It could be almost anything from a 30pt Leigh victory to a 30pt win for rovers, and all points in-between!
Having said all that, I'm going for rovers to prevail narrowly, around a 4/6pt win. I've also had a sneaky feeling about them since the start of the season, especially after Good Friday ( ), that they would be in one of the major finals, and so it has come to be!!!

| I’d be pleased for the genuine kr fans getting the monkey off their back.
I’ve seen folk suddenly wearing kr tops that I’ve never seen wear them before
However since experiencing the unpleasantness of kr since the 80’s and having met Lilley and Hudgell,
I sincerely hope leigh win comfortably.

| Some showing more compassion on here than they would show for us.
We’ve all got friends and family who support that mob. Not my problem.
If my son was playing for the Dobbins tomorrow I’d hope he was man of the match in a losing team.

I've lent one of my mates 200 to go down for the weekend.
It doesn't mean I want the team he supports to win.

One reason for magnanimity is they contributed massively to the best sporting moment of our lives. They created such jeopardy to our 2016 victory with the "Never win at Wembley" for decades, that the sweetness of lifting the hoodoo was unparalleled, and something neither side will experience tomorrow. It's a pity for them but we should acknowledge that they raised a mere cup win to something more foundational.

| Usually I would always support a Yorkshire side over a Lancashire one however in this instance my allegiance for the day will be with Leigh without any hesitation. The rivalry between the club I support and the one across the river is just too great, the bile that has come from not only their fans but people involved within their club over the years, I really don't get how any Hull fan could side with them for the game or want them to win. Don't get me wrong I think its good for our club, the city and the sport to have two strong clubs in Hull but doesn't mean I want them to be successful.
I very much doubt many of their fans would be as magnanimous and that is another part of the issue.
Hope they have a nice day out but have a very long and miserable trip back home empty handed
Up the Leopards!!!

| Leigh are the bigger/better RL story here, and rightly seem to have approached this week with some trepidation. Even the leopard print maniac has kept relatively quiet. It’s, of course, all about going there and doing the job before you start the party.
Rovers players on the other hand spending *an hour* being sung to and taking selfies for their send off, then stopping at the top of the lane to see the oldies in the care home as well, anyone would think they’d already won it. I work in Manchester with a few Wigan fans and they couldn’t believe it, still they won’t back Leigh any time soon.
Hull were probably guilty in 2013 of making too big a deal of getting to Wembley and then getting overwhelmed on the day.
I hope Rovers lose and when their ground is a new build estate they name a street Briscoe drive.

| Impressive vitriol.
It's good to keep the passion of the rivalry strong.
I don't often post on here but I enjoy at lot of your rugby knowledge.
Being from the coast and never having lived in Hull and now having lived away from East Yorkshire longer than I lived their I don't get too fussed apart from around The Derby.
When the boot's on the other foot, I usually start off wanting you to loose but then if you play well I often want you to win in big games, St. Helen's semi final in 2015 (or was it 16?) is a case in point.
I haven't voted in the poll so as not to skew the result, a 100% lose will be impressive!

| It won't change my life if Rovers win (not that I want them to) but it'll be nice for some of my friends if they finally have something to celebrate. (And for many it would be the first time in their life).

I am very much of this opinion. Unless Hull are playing then I really don't give a about any result (unless it can impact us on league position or something). Sure I would prefer Leigh win, but my life isn't impacted in any way if Rovers win tomorrow. Think some times fans of both teams are guilty of caring far too much about the other team. I know Rovers fans who seemingly get happier when Hull lose than they do when Rovers win, and vice versa.
If they win tomorrow I guarantee a large portion of their fans will use it as a tool to constantly diminish Hull FC with, rather than focusing on their own team and achievement. I've already seen us lift the trophy 3 times in my relatively short time of watching rugby (since 2004), I really don't give a if they win it or not tomorrow.

| I don't know any rovers fans that ever want us to win any game. Especially in the CC final.
The fact that Charnley totalled Clifford and got away with it means I want a KR win.
Also its good to have two strong Hull teams. That's what I loved about the 80's.
