| Have we had predictions yet?
And what would you say is a resonable season?
I recon 5th or 6th if not to many injuries
Not expecting any silverware, but think we will be close.

| I think id have the league looking like this:
1st - Saints
2nd - Wigan
3rd - Huddersfield
4th - Leeds
5th - Hull
6th - Salford
7th - Wire
8th - Catalans
9th - Rovers
10th - Cas
11th - Leigh
12th - Wakey
I think Saints are too strong to be topped again, Wigan will just edge the Giants for 2nd. To be honest, teams from 4th down to 10th are a complete lottery, any can finish between those 7 places in my opinion. I am not convinced by Cas, i think their recruitment has been quite 'meh'. I also see Catalans and Wire having rather disappointing seasons. Salford scrape the play offs as long as they keep players injury free. Wakey will struggle, however they always seem to do just enough, so who knows.
As for us, if we have a clean bill of health and TS can prevent our annual mid season collapse then I think we are in good shape for 5th.

As said above I think 4-10 is a real lottery depending on injuries/ Suspensions. I think Wire could go well, no idea why just a feeling, not convinced by Leeds, Rovers will surprise a few (unfortunately). Really liking the look of wigan this year. Leigh could struggle to adapt to week to week super league especially if/when injuries bite or if Lam or Ipape are out long term. Wakey have some quality if they can stay fit they'll avoid the drop.
As they say opinions are like ar*eholes we've all got one.

Confident on the top 3 and bottom 3. Everywhere else is too difficult to split we're in that middle group of clubs where anything could happen.
Heart says 4/5 head says 7th.
Wigan to win the GF.
Hudds to go one better this season and win the cup. Watson will need to win something soon.

I think Wigan will pip St’s this year but it’ll be close. Then I think 3 to 10 could be any of 8 teams think we will surprise a few and think Leeds may not do so well.
Then just a straight shoot out between Wakey and Leigh at the bottom.

Saints and Wigan to battle it out but Huddersfield could win the league leaders shield IMO, 4th down to 10th like most seasons is a bit of a free for all really, Catalans and Wire under a lot if pressure, probably fair to say that about FC too.
Wakey and Leigh battling the wooden spoon.
It's probably fair to say that teams that handle injuries the best will do well (obviously)

| My only prediction is that Leigh will go fairly decent until uncle Derek does his usual of not paying players & threatening to leave the club, then comes relegation.

| Nothing surprising or very interesting will happen on the pitch. It’s like a game of Monopoly that has carried on even though somebody owns all the properties and hotels and has all the money. Everybody else just keeps rolling the dice and moving around the board out of habit.

Don't be surprised if both Hull clubs rekindle your enthusiasm in 2023.

| A lot will ride on injuries and squad togetherness for us as there are a large number of OOC players potentially being kept or released so I hope the club can navigate that well, keep focussed and play well each week.
If we stay relatively healthy top 6 would be good but I just don’t feel as confident for some reason this year, despite the upgrade in coach. I think Wigan will win the GF and topple Saints , Leigh will do well with a quality squad and Wakey may go down- I hope not I’ve had some great away days there .

I think Rovers and Cas will be higher placed, possibly even than us. They have depth, whereas we are short of backrow options if injuries bite.

I think outside the top 2 there'll be a few clubs tightly packed together this season between ourselves, Wire, Rovers, Cas, Leeds, Salford and possibly Catalan. Huddersfield could either be more the top challenger to the likes of St's & Wigan or could easily be another fighting from 3rd to 6th place.
Think Wakefield may be the one that finishes bottom but hard to say with another new Coach
Leigh I think could start well but may fall short as the season goes on if they suffer on the injury front or have a few suspensions.
Definitely interesting season to look forward to

That's a good point Chris, however, should Leigh be struggling as the season goes on, money is available to reinforce should we need to, but it's also important that the right players are available.

I don’t understand Radford signing Miller. If Milky wasn’t good enough for FC, why is he good enough for Cas now. I understand we needed to shift players out at the time because of contracts but it just smacks of a desperation signing.

I pretty much agree with your assessment, our back row options are very limited and the current preference for many, Griffin and Savellio, if fit , would be okay but if they get injured, we are back to moving Ligi Sao from the front row, to cover. Sao is a great player, but I prefer him as prop and Lovodua has also been mentioned, again not ideal for me , but the cap restraints meant we couldn't really strengthen there as we would have done previously. If we get lucky with injuries, then top six is achievable, think Leigh will be surprisingly good, that squad has some genuine star quality, Wakey may struggle and we'll see how our team fares against Cas, who I'd say look pretty much our equals. Rovers will also be around the top six, they have a decent first team squad but like us , not great depth.

Rovers tipped to win a trophy, I wonder which journalist it was?
https://twitter.com/RugbyLeagueLiv2/sta ... -eloA&s=19
Connor also tipped for MOS by a couple, not bad for ab average player, won't win though, as will miss too many games and the way it's run, means it heavily favours a mid team rather than the top teams.
