with a few clubs sniffing around to make changes it would be nice for the club to confirm the 'The Hull Daily Mail believes' rumours about Connor and Cator at least. But I bet a few covet Sao and Satae and it would be such a shame if the group we are building is broken up.

I agree with you there though it sounded positive in the interview with Satae that he was really happy here and with the other piece the other day about him and Sao being close the. It can only be a positive.

From what I hear, the only players who haven't sorted new deals are Masi, Faraimo and Ma'u. I am sure they are planning to announce some soon

Wouldn’t surprise me if we announce some retentions before the next home game in June. Get some interest up, and generate soon good news for (hopefully) ticket sales.

I suspect a lot of clubs are doing that, soon as a ground can be filled they will dig some good news out.

While he won't interest us George Williams being released today for home sickness will prompt some moves, even on marquee money teams would need to find 150k space on their cap, so that means shifting a big earner or 2 or 3 smaller earners out.

Both Wigan and Leeds have the money, due to the release of Burgess and Eastmond.

Be very surprised if Wigan don't take George Williams back on his return back to the UK. Although Leeds have a need for a player such as Williams I can't see him signing for Leeds when Wigan lose Hastings at the end of this season so will need a replacement and Williams back at his home town club. I know he'd commented about going stale at Wigan but hes been away from Wigan now so may want the comfort of being back at Wigan.
So unless Leeds are prepared to offer silly money I just can't see Williams going anywhere else but back to Wigan.

Toby King is better for me all round but never worth 170k that's top category money for SL

Don’t get me wrong he’s a good player but for my mind he’s not in the £170K bracket or even near to that, I think his agents had Warrington pants down with that deal.

I'd rather have Carlos, the only think King has in his favour is that he is British.

Griffin v's King is very close, but King will be on nearly twice as much, he agent has done a cracking job, he was never going to go to Rovers, but Rovers will have offered him a massive salary and Warrington will have matched it.

I've just seen Matthew Dufty might be available to come to SL, he would be sensational here, but I suppose we don't really need a FB, unless

Doesn't look likely to happen, so I really hope he stays in the NRL and not for a SL side.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't stay in the NRL to be honest, though if he is to come to SL then St's could be a possible destination if Coote doesn't sign a new deal with them. If he does come to SL I can't see many clubs being in for him as he won't come cheap.

I agree, think he will stay he in the NRL, think the Dragons are releasing him for off field problems, would have to be a high paid Marquee player here.

He would be close to MOS, a upgrade on Coote and French who both stand out in SL.

Agree Dufty would be a fantastic pick up for any SL side. Similar style of play to Papenhuyzen. I wonder if he played for one of the top teams in the NRL he would be spoken about differently.

On a side note, Fages would be a great pick up for us as a long term 9/half cover. although i can't see him swapping a starting spot at Saints for us.

Dufty has been good for a while now. Phil Gould has alluded that it’s more off field reasons that the Dragons aren’t looking to retain him.

I’ve heard Theo is Huddersfield bound, and according to a few Saints posters Coote wants to go home, for family reasons.

With Wigan reportedly losing £100,000 every game they’ve had without supporters, and the financial worries AP has had, and Saints seem to have a few young guns ready to step up.

Possibly only Leeds, Wire, and Huddersfield are able to test the market in these times, not even sure about Leeds financial clout anymore, since their golden years, they’ve hardly broke the bank with signings.
