There are some Leigh games on YT from this season, there's one against Bradford where he starts at Loose forward. Haven't watched it myself yet, but plan to give him a look if he ends up signing. If he played at Blackpool, bash, that game will be on there too.

Can’t believe you’re letting Litten go, stinks of Josh Hodgson a bit don’t you think? Only in Hodgsons case it was understandable as he had Houghton ahead of him at the time and wasn’t much older. These days, Houghton is closing in on his career and you’ve no one else. Can’t believe they wouldn’t want to groom him and bring him through having looked ‘capable’ in games I’ve seen him.

Obviously we don't know what goes on in contract negotiations but on the face of it that is two poor decisions to let them go.

Litten was touted as a boy wonder but has unfortunately remained firmly boy sized. He gets run over when he’s been out there more than 15 minutes every time.

He won’t make it in our setup and we’ve got a fee for him. Good business.

Litten - Not a bad player, but think the fact players can get over the top of him means he’d never be a regular in a Radford side. Won’t be another Hodgson if that’s what Dobbins are hoping for.

With Litten, Hadley and Washy going, we definitely need cover at hooker now.

In an ideal world I'd keep them both, but Green has been inconsistemt and misses a lot of games.

Litten will be a decent player, but not rated by Radford, Houghton only 30, so still 4/5 years left.

We could do with a 19 year old hooker who would be happy to play reserves and the odd game.

They are looking to groom Fash for the Hooker role.

Same here, Houghtons got a fair time left at the club before his boots will be filled by someone else , Green is playing well atm but wont be near first team 17 if the recruitment/rumours for next season come to fruition .

No fee involved, just not renewing deals.

Shame for Green he's done well this season, and who knows we could be losing a late developer, thats the risk LR is prepared to take.
As Bones said above, assuming he stays as he is he might struggle to get a place when the new guys come in, I also think freeing up the cash has been the more significant reason we've had to release him.
Greeny will get a gig easily with a decent side.

Green not offered a deal. no mention of Litten turning one down? But you knowing more than James Smailes (or at least giving the full picture) is not a shock Dave.

Fair play to Litten for wanting to move to progress as he knows he won't get much first team action apart from covering if Houghton is injured etc.
As for Green he's been pretty good for us since he came back but has missed significant amounts over the last few seasons so the club may see they are better served moving on. We can't keep everyone and still be able to fit top quality signings in under the salary cap (we aren't Warrington after all

).

Maybe you should read the story in HDM then or this snippet from the article "Litten’s future is more certain with his deal at Craven Park now agreed, with Rovers having to pay compensation for the FC academy graduate due to the player's age and the fact FC had spoken to him about a deal."

Pretty clear as Dave K said Hull will receive a fee for Litten, he chose to leave to pursue first team rugby which he won't get while Houghton is fully fit.
