| All 4 have stepped up massively this season.
How long are they under contract for? Need to be shaping our squad around these young lads imo

| Think this deserved its own thread but how good havevthe young players done this year when they have been brought in, particularly the ones who are getting a good run, they are getting better every week.
Fash seems so strong, works hard and is a great defender.
Turgut has some good skills about him, runs good libes, did an amazing job on BMM tonight.
Masi looks supper strong wins just about every collision, often teams fail to put him down.
Credit to the coaching staff for handling them well and bringing them through at the right time when they are ready and the conditioning staff for getting them fit and strong,
Going under the radar a bit as if it was Wigan young players the sky team would be going mad about them.

| They all struggled with the pace, intensity and physicality of the game initially but having had a run they're all starting to look the part. Hopefully we can get some forwards back and give some of them a break for a few weeks. they're not up to playing week in, week out at this stage

| I agree. With a full strength squad available, you'd be struggling to leave out Fash and Turgut.
We are getting wins with major players out. Don't think that would have happened last season. Really really impressive.
Kudos to how the club have managed the young players progression into the first team.

| Just shows how poor the Hull under 19s were when we decided to merge with HKR!!!!!!! The Hull Academy seems to be a massive success with all their new players!!!!!!!. What a good money saving scheme. Hulls juniors over the last few years probably the best yet. Be interesting to see how many of current Hull Academy players make it even in rovers 1st team

When I saw him warming up with the squad last night I was excited about seeing him play again. It didn't happen and Washy did a great job but its nice o have the option there.

| Brad Fash the pick of the bunch, Turgut is okay but needs to control his temper. If Matongo can get the ball other than standing still he'll make a few more metres each time which he did last night and I thought his best run out yet with some good tackling at times..
If the coach is wanting to bring these youngsters through more, looking to have them as 1st XVII players then replacing Ellis for next season should be looked upon as an opportunity to trust in the players we have and not necessarily signing a big name replacement (which I don't think is doable cap wise IF we are to retain Hadley/JA and actually play them).
Radford will then have a deeper strength squad with younger players getting more opportunity to get game time, something he has being very reluctant to do in his first three years unless injuries forced his hand.
The only other thing is the seeningly over reliance on Ellis as an on the field leader, giving the responsibility to others and developing those players to have mental fortitude/never give in when the chips are down is something that at times this season has being lacking. There must be players who can just if they have the confidence to tell other senior squad members what's what in times of duress and to have the fortitude themselves to go through with that when fatigued.
Sometimes younger players can be ideal for this, especially the ones that are a little 'cocky'.
Reallyhope Litten gets more of a chance but with Washbrook being preferred hope he doesn't end up down the same route as Cunningham

As Connor progresses, and with Radford's preferences at 13, wonder whether we'll want Abdull back..

I'm sure that with enough bleach and scrubbing we'll be able to wash the smell of East hull out of Abdul so no reason why he shouldn't return

| I think Abdull's next step is a loan move to a Super League side. If any of the Championship sides win promotion and need a pivot/13, we should be offering him for 12 months on a plate.
Big fan of the youth development at the club currently, we've now seen ample game time for the likes of Fash, Turgut, Matongo, Downs and Rawsthorne this season. Will stand us in good stead for the middle 8's, and beyond.

| The progress that these lads have made is a great incentive to those currently operating in the academy. Its a sign that if you work hard and listen to the coaches there are opportunities to be had.

Could put Naughton in the Rawsthorne category too, shame he's not got much game time at all at Leigh.

| Fashy is an unsung hero just does all the hard yards, Masi looks a unit, Turgut getting better every week, jury still out on Downs but not let anyone down.

| A bit of fine tuning to the technical side of his game and a bit more weight on him, and Masi could be devastating breaking through the line. It already takes a few men to halt him and he doesn't seem to be taken to ground that often. Potentially brilliant.

| Masi needs more confidence in his strength I think as he seems a little uneasy running the ball in. He also was timing his runs better from the kick off on Friday. Against Wigan he was mistiming it and taking it standing, which was resolved, so shows he is learning

| its great to see all the hard work and money that has been put into the club by the owner and coaches is really starting to come off.
as mentioned, fash has been really good for us. strong, hard runner, good tackler, also seems good with his distribution from play of the ball.
turget runs some very good lines, strong, fast, gets us on the front foot and loves to get involved. he has a bit of a temper, but its nice to have a player that can get under the skin of the other team sometimes.
masi really looks the part. 18 years old, and fully grown seasoned players struggle to take him down. hits ahrd when defending too.
rawsthorne looks like he could be a top draw winger. pace to burn, strength, eye for the line and can kick at goal, which in this era, is vital.

I don't think Masi is 18 years old, 21/22?
