| Strong performance today, but back to the league now, we need to beat Wigan away to keep momentum going, I see this as a tough game but one we can win especially if we play like today & dominate the forwards again.

Will take them all week to rehydrate. Interesting what they do in the pack, can't see Frank and Sika being that fresh either although Frank may be banned anyway. Was Watts OK?

| I think Tomkins is set to make his return.
Wigan on their own muck is always a massive challenge to come away with a win, but the way we're going at the moment, It wouldn't be any shock to me to see us win.

| It will be a tough task to back yesterday's performance up, but this is a much better and far more professional outfit than we have been used to. AP I am sure will provide all the support Lee asks for. I suspect along similar lines to what he provided at Easter. Wigan have in effect had a week off (no disrespect) so will be fresher. But we are battle hardend and full of confidence. We owe them big time after the KC match. Close but no reason why we can't come away with the points.

| They key thing to remember with the pies is that they have scored 100 points less than everyone else around them and are conceding about the same as others. If we can get a few quick tries like against saints then we could probably sit back a bit.
Gonna be an important game, level on points it gives us an opportunity to start pulling away a bit. Confidence will be strong I feel.

| Difficult game to call.
We have a pretty poor record away at Wigan, and whilst they've not been great this year, they're still sat there close to the top despite having some key injuries (which I think has effected their attack that yorksguy mentioned). They'll be buoyed by the return of Tomkins.
That said, we have a pretty much full squad to choose from, and we're coming off the back of two big wins against 2 of the other current top5, so we should be full of confidence.

There's a lot of difference between 'all week' and 'a week'. It's only 5 days until game day and given the heat I'm sure hydration would take 48 hours to get back to normal. This is the main reason drinking is a big no no anytime in the week of a game. Only gives us Wednesday & Thursday to get back in to it at 100%. Not ideal prep.

Sports science suggests 45 minutes is sufficient (from what I have read), certainly not 48 hours. How could someone run back to back marathons?
Anyway, matters not, way more clued up people than us are looking after that stuff nowadays. A far cry from Mallinson beasting them up Brantingham Dale and players propping up the bar.

NO NO NO NO NO, that what the hul team of the last few seasons would of done and often been our undoing. Cant stand those kind of tactics, backing up after that performance sunday will take some doing, but lets try playing with the same attitude .

I only said a bit, I just meant that with the pies not scoring too highly there is no need to break our backs.
Sure Sam might be coming back but he hasn't played for a while and will be a bit rusty however much he is up for it and will probably get a little run out as opposed to throwing him in at the deep end.

| rehydration takes no time at all, good nutrition is all that is needed. the problem is repairing damage to the muscles. basically all physical exertion damages the muscle fibres (micro rips and tears) which need time to recover. this process is sped up by rest and things like ice baths. sports science has changed a lot over the years but the classic RICE still applies (rest, ice, compression, elevation). of course other things are in the equation nowadays too, such as massage and supplements

I am hoping ST is introduced back from injury in a similar way Richard Horne was "welcomed" back by James Graham in the 2008 CC final.

yup, to suggest it takes 48 hours to hydrate is just silly. Creatine etc. are good supplements that aid recovery (not sure if banned or not as the list isn't readily available to day to day punters)
