What in earth went wrong for him at Hull FC?
I was worried when we signed him after some of his later performances for you, but he has been one of our best players this year. His defence in particular has been outstanding, particularly last night against the Leeds back line.

From the games I've said he has been stronger in defence , he scored some great try's for hull, which I haven't seen him do yet at Cas.

Think he had an attitude problem at Hull, certainly got some good talent though

His defence has definitely improved since he left us, but he was also unfairly singled out at Hull because he was never that bad a defender. I think he simply didn't fit into Radford's philosophy. Had Peter Gentle not left (or had we got another coach who took a more adventurous approach) I'm sure he'd still be here.

Well, watching the game last week against Warrington, he was doing a very good impression of a turnstile most of the game.

I think you could say that about every Cas player that evening, we were just pulled everywhere by Sandow and Warrington took advantage all over the field.

Sometimes a player needs a change of club to improve . To early to say whether he's going to be a top signing but that's sport.

Possibly so, but I've been waiting for a thread on this topic to come up, and on what little I've seen of him this year, he's not shown that he's over his defensive frailties, yet.
I hope he does improve, and goes on to be the player he has the potential to be.

Liked Ben Crooks a a lot. On meeting he was a down to earth nice freindly kid and didnt come across as having an attitude problem at all - the exact opposite of Lineham who seemed a total at that time

Well, we have played two live games on sky where he has shown no defensive frailties. Obviously, when you see highlight you only see tries scored, not ones prevented. At Warrington we were all over the place as a team. In all other games he has been solid.
What we haven't seen too much of is his attacking threat.

Well when we played you Carlos had been ripping everyone apart and Crooks did a really good job on him.

Maybe he has grown up. At hull had a ego the size of hull. These things happen and IMO maybe he's like I said just grown up. Won't be the first or last

....another easy scapegoat....that what Ben Crooks was.....and there's more to follow.

We had in Crooks a young upcoming classy, pacy centre that we'd been after for years. Under Gentle he blossomed into a dream team member, under Radford he was treated abominably and scapegoated along with others to try cover for Radford's ineptitude.
Losing Crooks has cost us a lot and not just on the pitch but financially too.
And people still claim Radford is amazing at bringingtoungsters on..total gash.

Gentle destroyed him by playing him unfit in the cup final, his confidence never came back and he lost his way.

Glad to see him getting another chance, and if he becomes a top consistent performer in Super League, then he might just end up coming back in a couple of years or so.

In interview when asked about Logans injury he made a cutting reply that he damaged an eyelash.
So in Radfords sarcastic opinion the injury didnt warrant coming off.

This would be the Logan who has been constantly knocked on here for his poor defensive play? The same one that a few posters have suggested might be dropped because he hasn't performed to the required standard? That Logan?

There is no need for Radford to come out with the cutting sarcastic remarks he came out with regarding the injury to Logan
