| What do we want then guys and girls? Whats our ideas. Always like the release of a new kit even though in my opinion the last couple of years have been underwhelming. Got to be irregular hoops surely.........remember, no green apparently!

| Anything other than irregular hoops this year of all years will be very disappointing.
Hopefully some good heritage stuff. "Up the cream" maybe one with a white star?
I just hope there are no transfers this year.

I agree 100% traditional black and white irregular hoops, maybe a white star with players names for magic weekend.

| Its difficult really to get the 2 distinguishable FC kits together as home and away (Irregular hoops - Home and Black with White V as the away shirt) as the primary colours need to be different.
I would like a classic Irregular Hooped shirt (with collar) as the home - and the away I don't know! Magic shirt - the Hull White Star shirt

why do the colours need to be different, that's just the blazers at Red Hall, it's our 150th year!
([url=https://dub130.mail.live.com/?tid=cmmHBX66tE5BGTHgAjfeQYBg2&fid=flinboxThe same blazers who picked this out of date band to ruin the warm up to the Grand Final)[/url

| Primary colours must be different. We could do a Widnes (ala last year) and have 2 home kits - hoops and a v shirt, with an alternative colour for when there is a clash.

| Am l right in thinking that our first ever kit was not irregular hoops ?
I realise we are famous for them , but should we not be wearing our first kit from 150 years ago ?
Was the Hull White Star kit in 1865 ?

We didn't adopt the hoops until after the kangaroo tour of 1908

| The White Star kit is the earliest I've ever seen images of. Or read about for that matter. But as that came about from a merger between the two 'starter clubs' I assume there was another even earlier kit. No idea what it was like though.
Interestingly it seems that we were nicknamed the 'All Blacks' at the time of the formation of the Northern Union in 1895.

| Hull FC's first colours were scarlet and white hoops. Hull White Star was a junior club who originally played in blue and white before switiching to the more obvious kit of a black shirt with a white star.
When the two clubs amalgamated the team first played in a black shirt (with the three crowns in a blue and gold badge). For a brief period this was changed to cherry and white stripes but the club had problems with the colours running when the kits were washed so there was a return to the black shirt. We were known as the "All Blacks" as early as the 1880s, a good twenty years before the New Zealand RU side.
As Jake says, we switched to black and white irregular hoops around 1908, probably influenced by the first Australian tourists who played in blue and maroon irregular hoops.

| i would be happy with a design around the kit worn for the 1991 season (the premiership winning kit). the first (star) kit could then be adapted for the away kit black shirt with white star could look good

The season ticket brochure says we will have a return to the irregular hoops in 2015 and that the kit will be unveiled in September (so not long to wait!)

| I would like something akin to the farewell to the Boulevard shirt. A proper cotton rugby shirt with full black and white irregular hoops.

Really interesting stuff - thanks.
Can't see us having a red and white kit at any point, so an all black kit would seem like the nearest thing to an 'original FC' kit.

| My lad saw the kit at Headingley a couple of weeks back. The photographer from a photo shoot had the home and away shirts in his car. Home shirt traditional black and white hoops with similar collar to this years. Away shirt is purple.
